HOWEVER, AI is making strides and there are mods to make AI dialogue and activity in Skyrim which makes populated cities muuuuuch deeper now and unique to each person's experience. So maybe if they implement something akin to that even if just in a later mod release for Starfield we can see some bustling cities and planets unique to each person's experience.

It was impressive. They really improved the gun play from what was shown last time they had a game play demo. That one was bullet sponges and just didn't hit the spot. This one with slide and snappy movements etc. So even though it's exploration and RPG. Game play and hence gun play facing enemies needs to be good too.

The game looked incredible. I wasn’t expecting a full 45 and all the detail they went into, can’t wait to jump on and play! Great that it’s game pass on day one too. My only gripe was they covered lots about weapons but not armour. I want to know if it’s just an outfit and helmet or if you can choose different armour fittings like elder scrolls and Fallout. Interesting to see the “powers” on the last clip too 👀

It doesn't have cities, quests, proper combat, proper dogfighting etc. No Man's Sky is an achievement but this is something completely different. Main similarity is a similar vibe when exploring a planet and seeing the indigenous flora and fauna and access to many planets, but other than that they have almost nothing in common.

Something I really hope is we can pilot a capital ship or a carrier ship, like I want to be able to go into a system and quickly go into the hanger and leave the ship and enter a dog fight or something

i mean yeah, a single player game doesn't remain this relevant after 12 years (for Skyrim at least) without a community that keeps it relevant. The Creation Engine is a godsend for modders, that's one of the main reasons Bethesda keeps using it instead of switching to UE.

The traits is actually pretty interesting. I read some of them, one you own a house, but you have a 50,000 mortgage, which is cheap if you ask me lol. The parents trait is a pretty cool one too. Wonder how fleshed out that one is.

The size and scope of this has me worried, just how buggy is this gonna be, Bethesda struggle with making tiny (in comparison) open worlds, I can't help thinking this is reaching far and beyond what the studio can manage without it being a complete and total mess.

Its not world size they struggle with. They try to implement too much in a small maps which makes things overlap and become buggy. Hopefully with the size of the maps they can eliminate some of those issues

They said the game was ready almost a year ago, but they wanted to keep working on it and polish it even more. That could just be marketing, but I think after fallout 76 they don't want to take any chances on this one

But this is also Bethesda, so half the stuff in here won't be implemented at all, and the other half will only work after the community creates mods to fix all the bugs. Tbh I’m fine with them cutting corners on the space travel. The systems they’ve put in place are good enough to build a fun game experience as it is. I just hope the lore and functionality of the game haven’t been neglected, because that’s what makes or breaks a good RPG.

Freestar collective is definitely gonna be my go to faction on release. On the outside it gives me Star Wars/Mandalorian feels and in the inside it’s a LOT More western/New Vegas style I freakin love it! The main leader of the faction reminds me of the evil sheriff from that one Clint Eastwood western movie that had Morgan Freeman.

I personally don't mind the prospect of no seamless space to planet flight. It sounds great in theory, but often sacrifices the amount of detail in the environment. Best case scenario they nail Space and planetary exploration separately and then perhaps a god tier modder could find a way to work it in. Either way i'm glad they're pooling their resources into quality over an immensely complicated feature that could detract from the game heavily if poorly implemented.

@@LtW00dy No Man’s Sky implements it functionally at best. The pop-in is crazy as you load in, and the novelty of landing on a planet from space fades quick after the 20th time doing it. The planets are also barren aside from very few generic copy pasted buildings. Totally the best call to get Space and Terrestrial as engaging as possible separately.
