I adore the character writing too. With the US:A soldiers actually seeming human, unlike the super rugged special forces guys, who only have cool quips and serious monologue in most campaigns. Oh and actually having some relatively good guy Russians was a breath of fresh air at the time.

@@R17759 Looks better than a lot of new games. It has a much more cohesive art style than most new games and better destruction, many new games like Hell Let Loose have no destruction or no more than we had in the early 2000's/90's.

This gave me goosebumps when I first played in release, I was in awe at the graphics. To think this game is over 10 years old , still gives me goosebumps and I’m still impressed by the graphics. This was indeed peak Battlefield, the game was made with love and effort to impress gamers instead of just money grabbing greedy publishers.

BF3 had my favorite art style in the series. Something about the colors and lighting hits different from the other games, even BF4. Soundtrack was great too, I still love Solomon's Theme and Thunder Run.

OG's remember just how broken BF4 multiplayer was on launch. Several second desyncs between player positions were a nightmare. BF4 felt like a cash grab on the success of BF3, but they didn't do enough or change enough to call it a whole new battlefield. It was the beginning of the cash-in.

Crazy that they don’t make games like this anymore. Down to earth realistic themes and atmosphere. Makes you feel like you’re in the suck. No outlandish goofy fortnight skins or exaggerated characters. Grounded realism. Wish these type of shooters would continue today instead of the woke crap being pushed by the industry. I think we as BF hardcore fans who have been playing for a while and the ones who joined the series should all hop on BF3 again and repopulate the servers to send a message to DICE and EA saying this is the game we want, nothing else, if you can give us BC3 without tarnishing it we will take it too, but give us a successor to BF3/4. Also it sucks because BF3 doesn’t have a lot of single player walkthroughs on KZbin. Many people missed out on awesome missions especially the Going Hunting mission

Battlefield 3s campaign was, at least for me, right next to CoD4: Modern Warfares campaign! Especially the first BF3 trailers showcasing the campaign, released in parts, hype building 101 and at the end BF3 delivered! Man I miss that stuff so much.
