It did launch like this....what's so different mechanically? They changed the recoil, added some weapons, new maps and a few quality of life changes. Pretty par the course with literally any game release. I've loved Battlefield 2042 since the beta and have played the game for nearly a thousand hours now. It's a stellar title as were all the previous entries as well. Simply don't get ya'll....

It's my only gripe about it as well but it's just not a very feasible thing to do in a multiplayer environment yet. They could have done a little bit of destruction though as they have done this sort of thing in the past with the firestorm destroying buildings in BFV's battle royale. There's likely a very good reason and it's likely due to the constraints of 128 players in a relatively small map (in comparison to the battle royale map where players are more spread out) Destruction is an inherently difficult thing to implement in multiplayer environments because of consistency.

@@spartan_a1176 The next Battlefield game will almost certainly have a massive focus on destruction. Server side destruction is getting much more stable for high player count environments. It's going to be incredible, DICE has been deep in the research and development side of this feature for some time now. Like I said before, destruction is very difficult to implement.

Hey, a 2042 dev here. I know it feels difficult (and it is!), but there are actually so many talented Easter Egg hunters and communities for Battlefield that the puzzles are deliberate made really challenging, because we know they are that good. They work together and spread out searching for clues and brainstorming. We devs deliberate don't want to say anything that gives the EE away since we know they will solve it eventually. It would ruin the fun EE hunters find in solving these if we told them how to do it.

As someone who watches storm chasing vids a lot and are obsessed with tornadoes, I will say yes, the tornado forming and dissipating is in the base game. And DICE did a great job modeling the spinning clouds and funnel formation, even if it is a bit fast for gameplay sake.

Like certain steps are kinda self explanatory and I can see how you can figure them out, like finding the radios and the plushies, BUT, how TF do you figure out that the guy has to be on the opposite team and you have to take them down 3 times in the water specifically.

Remember everyone. It took nearly 3 years to get BF4 into playable shape after all of you pre-ordered and acted as unpaid beta testers. It had rubber-banding, invisible objects on some maps, and objects that disappear from the map after you get any more than 40 yards away.

Also, you couldn't even play it at first, since the netcode was so bad. That was a worse launch, and nowadays oh so many say it's the best Battlefield game. nice to know that bf4, bf1, bf5 and now 2042 has a shark easter egg. The one that confused me the most was bf5 because only 1 person was able to see the sharks fin due to him swimming in the river or a tank firing over the river that triggered the script to let the shark loose.
