I feel that it was his hiatus that made him even more underrated, because if you look at the views he got from his videos 5 to 8 years ago, they're pretty good. However, when he went on a hiatus, people just seemed to forget about him. Sometimes taking a hiatus at your prime can also be a downfall, and that was Jack's downfall.

This was the first dance at my wedding. Everyone was sort of coyly fidgeting during the first half. The bridge brought them out, bopping a bit awkwardly. Once it dropped everyone lost it and the whole lotta them cunts were raving in a pub in November. I fucking love this song.

I love how the video starts with him and the small dance movements, like you know he wants to dance and feels passion about it but is self conscious. As the music builds his movements get bigger and the stage lights up, and he's taking up all the space he can use. Great message. Take up space, be yourself. You don't have to hide it or be ashamed.

I am always fascinated with how things of incredible beauty often come from dark, ugly places. When he stopped singing and just started dancing - meanwhile the line “time is on your side” goes on loop - I started breaking down. These past few months have been incredibly difficult to a lot of us (I assume) and I’ve realized recently that I cannot take each day for granted anymore. That line - time is on your side - doesn’t only mean that I have enough time and that I have to enjoy it, but I have to recognize the importance and beauty of each day, the way I recognize the importance of friends and loved ones.
