@@Toozelwoozle70 The money hasn’t gone anywhere. Inflation caused by Westminster and a shortfall in expected Block Grant means the budget cannot be met. So changes have to be made. ScotGov can only spend what they get and have to put a budget in place prior to learning what actual money they will receive. So it means budget changes have to be made to remain within the constraints of the devolved agreement.

Take it up to the amount of the legal living wage of £11.40 an hour for 37 hour week. That way they would catch the vulnerable that won’t get it, and then won’t be allowed other benefits but the person just under the cap by £1 the. Can go on and claim every other benefit under the sun. They then end up being better off than the poor pensioner that was a few ponds over the cap. It does not make sense. You all expect pensioners to keep warm with what. We pay rents, electricity but with far less to make ends meet. We can’t work because of age or fragility but you think we can live on that pension we get shame on you for not going and checking your facts.

The economic and financial illiteracy of MP's is truly mind numbing or could it be that the figures upon which they rely in Scotland namely GERS is used for what it was designed to do by the Tory and Labour Scottish branch offices as nothing more than a political expedient to hoodwink the people of Scotland into accepting what a basket case Scotland is and could not survive without the largesse of Westminster. None of the "august" bodies Baillie has referred to has tackled the basic problem with Scotlands accounts in that no one KNOWS what Scotlands income or expenditure is that means anything in accepted accountancy terms. The figures are in the main estimates of estimates and arbitrary apportionment of costs. At best what can be said with some certainty is that Scotland's income is under estimated and its expenditure over estimated. Therefore any deficit is purely notional and cannot be relied upon as a true reflection of Scotlands fiscal position. Baillie and the Tories are lying about NHS waiting lists either that or they are totally ignorant and incompetent. There are not 840,000-869,000 people waiting for treatment in Scotland so this does not equate to 1 in 6 of the Scottish population. The figure combines people on multiple waiting lists for outpatient, inpatient, and diagnostic tests with the same person often represented on all of the lists. No one knows exactly how many people are on the waiting lists but NHS recorded 690,000 or 12.6% of the Scottish population compared with 13.9% in England. It is just more of the political obfuscation similar to GERS. It is the same with funding for the Scottish NHS which relies on Barnett consequential. Whatever England spends Scotland gets approx 9.7% however Westminster has underfunded the NHS for decades so in real terms it has underfunded the NHS by £356 billion. Is it any wonder the NHS across the UK is a shambles and only the people working in it are holding it together? Politicians couldn't care less as about them it is just a political football and blame game apparatus to score a few points. Baillie rancid hypocrisy.

Labour continuing Tory austerity. In their first mini budget Labour cut public spending by £5.4 billion ( cut £1.4 billion of winter fuel allowance from 10 million pensioners ) and borrowed another £5 billion. Labour gave English public service workers £9 billion of wage increases. Now Labour says there is a black hole of £22 billion in Westminster finances. There will be more cuts of public services, tax rises or borrowing to come by the Westminster Labour government. The Scottish government has to balance its fixed budget from Westminster every year. Up until recently the Scottish government couldn't borrow money but even now it's very restricted by Westminster. Westminster doesn't have to balance its budget every year it can just borrow more money. The national debt was about £1 trillion in 2010 now the national debt is £2.7 trillion in 2024. The office of budget Responsibility said that the Westminster government will be paying £89 billion in interest payments between 2024 - 2025.

Free University Tuition Fees, Baby boxes and Scottish Welfare Payments are three she forgot to mention. These and many others are hated by Unionist MPs as they show a side that they can never equal let alone achieve. The two reasons for budget shortfall are Inflation and the inability of Westminster to cover it and pay more. As this Labour led Westminster Government show their true colours the people of Scotland will get the message.
