Releasing this so close to the Super Bowl probably hurt the videos outreach, but I put a lot of effort into getting this video out today for those that were waiting for the next Tarantino reaction. So for the few of you who do actually engage with it. Believe me, it is highly appreciated. Thank you!

By far Tarantino's best work. Subtle, a beautiful love story, and unmistakably Tarantino in every way

"I'll bet, besides maybe an afro, you look exactly how you did at 29." "Well, my ass ain't the same." "Bigger?" "Yeah." "Ain't nothin' wrong with that!" Fun Fact: Pam Grier didn't expect her longtime friend Sid Haig to play the judge. She burst out laughing, as she was surprised by Haig, since they had starred together in several exploitation films, by which this film's style was influenced. Didn't Ask Fact: Quentin Tarantino met Robert Forster in a restaurant and handed him the script, saying basically he was going to do this. Forster was naturally thrilled, having had a major career slump. This film saw him come back in a big way, even landing an Oscar nomination. The Legend Fact: Pam Grier had screentested for the part in Pulp Fiction (1994) that eventually went to Rosanna Arquette. Quentin Tarantino didn't forget her, however, crafting the part of Jackie Brown specifically for her. Quentin Tarantino was already a huge fan of Pam Grier from her Blaxploitation films and had several posters hung up when she audition for this movie.

Glad that you had the chance to see this one. This was based on Elmore Leonard's novel "Rum Punch", and where Grier's character was named Jackie Burke, who was white in the novel. Please check out "Out of Sight", another Leonard adaptation with George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez, and a cameo by a Jackie Brown character. It's so good.

Ms. 'Coffy', 'Foxy Brown' and 'Sheba, Baby', herself! Pam Grier was a force of nature back in the day! I was so glad to see him showcase this iconic lady in one of his films, and have enjoyed it over the years as one of, if not the, favorite QT movie of mine!

Yup, that's how bail recovery works. BC of a law from the 1800's "bounty hunters" actually have more leeway than even police in some instances.

I’ve loved Jackie Brown since it was released, and always thought that it’s underrated. But I suppose anything that followed Pulp Fiction would be graded unfairly. This is my first of your reactions, and you did a really good job. Your editing choices and presentation are excellent, and that’s the most important aspect.

The rare Tarantino adapted script, as it's based on Rum Punch by Elmore Leonard. Michael Keaton's character will return in Out Of Sight, with George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez, which is adapted from another Elmore Leonard novel 👍

Tarantino is better when he has another person to moderate his excesses. IN this case, it was Elmore Leonard. IN "True Romance" Tarantino wrote the script, but Ridley Scott directed. Jackie Brown and True Romance are my two favorite Tarantino movies. Well, maybe a couple of the other are their equal, but to me those two are right up there.

Nice one, thank you. I know Oscars isn't everything but it seems crazy that Tarantino's previous film, Pulp Fiction, received 7 Oscar nominations and won for screenplay and this one only received one (for supporting actor). You haven't reacted to his first movie yet, Reservoir Dogs, but maybe save that and jump into Django Unchained or Inglorious Basterds because they are both absolute feasts.

I loved your reaction to this and Jackie Brown is Tarantino's best movie IMO (along with Hateful 8) because it's subdued and then goes to 100 like/that! Awesome writing and acting. Pam should have got a nomination.

This is one of the best films ever made, and gets so little love. Pam Grier owns everyone around her, and they all seem to admit it.

The defendant can plead guilty, not guilty, or stand mute (also known as a “standing silent” plea). Standing mute or silent means a defendant does not take a stance on being guilty or not guilty; they remain silent pursuant to rights guaranteed by the 5th Amendment.

Man! You've GOT to check out "Four Rooms". It's has 4 chapters in the film. I think QT only had to do with the 1 chapter he's in, but you'll recognize so many actors in it that you won't believe. Hilarious, creepy, and for sure worth watching!

In the case of Lewis and Melanie, no one would bat an eye if it were Lewis yapping all of that sh*t in Melanie's ear. No one would even suspect her of being violent towards him in response. Yet, people are always quick to call out a man's potential violence towards a woman for her sh*t-talking and irritating him. On the other hand, let a woman hit a man for talking sideways to her and she'll get called crazy or emotional but in the case of men, it's just expected and accepted for him to put hands on a woman. And people say women are emotional...tsk. Men can't control their tempers, egos or anger.
