im not religious but the undertones of god if you think about it make sense when he talks about punishment. if you read the bible god often puts the people he believes his best the hardest challenges

I raised an autistic son. The teachers at his preschool were very much on the same page as my husband and I. He was very intelligent and imitative. We all agreed he'd benefit from learning being in a regular school as much as possible. He had explosive tantrums because he thought everyone was withholding the things he wanted, not understanding other people have separate minds and perceptions. The very concept that we didn't know what he wanted, as he didn't begin to grasp Theory of Mind. Most of us begin developing it at around 2 years old and have often mastered it by the time we're six. The first meeting with both the special needs preschool teachers and regular teachers was something of an uphill effort. But his preschool teacher said that if they took him to a quiet room when he was overwhelmed he'd be fine. Since they were still a little resistance we got them to agree to at least meet our son. I had a plan. My son was gorgeous. Children who speak little or not at all often are. Their facial muscles being a little less developed means they hang on to bow shaped mouths and the rounder cheeks of babies. Add in my son's curly blond hair and big blue eyes, along with his usual sunny disposition, ( when he wasn't screaming ) and I watched all five staff members of the regular school melt like butter. They started suggesting way s they could accommodate him. The point is you have to keep trying EVERYTHING, with kids who are different, until you find what clicks for them. In the meantime, I'm sure there were family respite programs, which the poor woman could have used with Sam. Just having one weekend a month for self care would have been a godsend. Although, she may have sought and not found the help she needed so many times she just didn't have he energy to keep searching.

Messed up story here: in 11th grade I got a Christmas Gram from a guy who liked me. It was a small school and apparently everyone knew he liked me but me ( I was clueless ). Anyway, I never read the card cuz I was busy and that following weekend I saw on MySpace ( yes, I'm old lol ) that he listed me as his girlfriend! He and I NEVER had a conversation about him liking me or me liking him back OR about possibly dating. But I didn't want him to feel dumb or embarrassed in front of the whole school so I went along with it.... for THREE YEARS, obviously past graduation. 🤦 I kept thinking... he's a good guy, maybe I could be happy with being with him long term.... Ladies, don't ever feel like you have to compromise what you want so a guy doesn't look dumb or embarrassed, and don't continue in a relationship knowing you aren't happy, just to make the other person "happy". Not worth it!

I love how you recognize that things keep coming back within the series...spells we learned in the first movie coming back in the second (wingardium leviosa), and (petrificus totalus), and there are constantly call backs to previous things like the sword of Gryffindor appearing to worthy Gryffindors and even items like the Deluminator from the first scene in the first movie to the last one in the form of Dumbledore bequeathing it to Ron in his will.

Please don't give credit to George for Jim and his team character and world building design. George may have helped with direction and some production, but the style is all Jim Henson's.

Only the beginning owl in the beginning credits is one of the first time cgi was used. One of my favorite movies since I was a kid. I knew it so well that I knew every word and just listing to the music I knew which scene it was from. Multiple people controlled different parts of Hoggle's head. Eyes, eyebrows , mouth. Brian Henson did one and the voice of Hoggle .I was scared too of the fire gang when I was younger.

You know I'm only half joking here, but you seem to be kind of a rigid individual. If you think that the little girl biting her lips in the acting senior is something that would bother you, he is showing you that she's very Precocious little girl and being very fidgety. I think it works perfect. And I guess that's why you're not a director

This movie is so incredible, I don't even have the words to describe it... You can really tell that the film was directed by the same person that wrote the book it was based on. The messaging of the film is brilliant and only could have come together like it did, having been directed by the author of the book. It was just such a cohesive and beautiful story because the author really wanted to do their book justice and create a true masterpiece... It's just something you don't really see in Hollywood anymore and can only find it in independent films like this one... It's really sad for the state of Hollywood. 😢😢😢
