Twelve-year-old Dre Parker could have been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's latest career move has landed him in China. I want to point out that technically Mr. Han never actually throws a strike or kick at any of the boys at all during his scene fighting the boys. He sticks to defensive techniques as well as deflecting the boys’ own strikes against one another. Goes to show how much of a moral compass Mr. Han has, he refuses to hit a kid, even when the kid is attacking him. Respect.

What people don’t realize is the sequence at 9:14 is actually two takes. At the 15 second mark the antonganist goes into a roundhouse and ends it right there. The 16 second mark he’s just spinning in another take lol in reality he would have caught his balance after the 15 second mark.

All I learned from this scene is, Jackie Chan can beat up kids easily. And That really spoke to me on a personal level. So always remember if you’re an adult, you can easily beat up kids even if they know any form of self defense.👌🏼 Also the ending fight scene in the tournament. That black people can easily beat up chinese people if they also knew Karate. I just be learning stuff on a deeper level than most 😎
