Yes, Jackie's songwriting and composing is in the alternative indie pop genre which is created by artists outside the mainstream and considered more original, challenging, or eclectic than traditional pop music. The genre originated in the late 70s, formed on the then-novel premise that one could record and release their own music instead of having to procure a record contract from a major label. Jackie is an independent artist who has total control of her music as a writer, composer and co-producer. Although she has her own recording label, JE Touring, under which her album, The Debut, was released, her music is presently being recorded under a small Nashville label, Melody Place Records, that allows her the creative control she demands. Her latest album, Carousel of Time, a tribute to Joni Mitchell's folk/pop music, was released by Melody Place.

How can you supposedly see the bones in her chest when she's wearing a flesh-colord under-garment? It's not necessarily unhealthy to be thin. She has been under professional care with ongoing therapy since a serious relapse in late 2020 when she was absent from the public for a year while being treated. She said 3 months ago, "I'm in a much better place now, you don't have to worry". She acknowledges that it's a life-long struggle, but she IS beating it. She's been modeling for Harper's Bazaar and New York Post in addition to fashion shoots for her her own promotion. What are you sorry about? Jackie is her own career manager, happier than ever doing what she has wanted to do since she was a child.....writing, composing and producing her own music. She has been an independent artist since age 18 in complete command of her career and her music working with her co-producer, Greg Camp, founder of and former lead guitarist/songwriter for the rock band, Smash Mouth (playing guitar in this video). Her label is Melody Place Records of Nashville who released her last album, Carousel of Time (2022), a tribute to legendary singer/songwriter, Joni Mitchell. Just do comforting things….nature, inspirational music 🎶….when I felt down and was afraid, all I could say was the Lord’s Prayer every night, but gradually I was able to say what I wanted to. And also at first, I could only read one or two verses of scripture a day on my own, and I had to have a nice girl read with me if I did a little more. Sometimes that’s all of the spiritual you can do, and the rest has to be things that are also comforting, but not diving into the spiritual yet. We need balance in our lives anyway….it’s okay.

Yes, i love Grace also, they came to light on the same venue AGT a few years apart, both singer song writer prodigies, at such a young age Jackie 10 and Grace 12 you don't see the future as you thought it would be, Hollywood is a hard place to grow up if your all of a sudden put in a place where every one wants a piece of you, so many demanads for a child to nagociate through and the greedy money hungry producers, agents, industry heads only care to make money, no matter what a child is put through, i give all of these prodigies like Jackie, Grace Darcy, Courtney, Angelica, Kadie, and so many more a big thank you for their amazing talent, also for making it out alive, I lived in Hollywood, grew up there, was a extra with my twin brothe was in bands won competitions, and today at 75 still performing, its the draft that ended my our big break, but we still perform here in Vegas, so when you see a child with amazing skills remember, that they are children that are going to be tested by there amazing skill and pray they make it out of the grips of greedy producers, agents, and Hollywood, the most evil place for a child prodigy to servive!!!

That's why she often refers to her "classical voice" and her "pop voice" , and also her "Broadway voice" (a combination depending upon the type of Broadway song). Typically a classical crossover singer is classically trained and sounds classical when singing a pop song. Jackie has never had classical training but has trained her voice to adapt to different genres. A surprising example is her live performance at the Rockwood Musical Hall in New York of a couple of rock songs from the rock musical, "Get Jack", cutting loose as one might expect from a teenager. I presume you've seen her performances as "Kitty" on The Masked Singer, where she demonstrated her versatility, singing pop, country, Broadway, pop ballads and Soul Funk.

To me, it appeared that people were like..."hey, this gal has a lot more to delight us with - not just her "original" music, but...versatility, wit, charm, sense of humor, and being a good sport!". Though it was not "empty" by any means, at age 10 Jackie performed a solo concert at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. She was accompanied by The Houston Chamber Choir and The Treble Choir of Houston for the last song. This is one of 5 original songs to be released on an EP in March. The song is about her experience with mental illness associated with anorexia which she has been dealing with since age 15....about the fear of losing one's mind. It is deeply personal, courageous and relatable to those who suffer as she has. Writing and composing her own music is an essential part of her healing process, what she calls a "therapeutic endeavor". This "style" is the way she writes which happens to be in the alternative/indie pop genre, and not meant to showcase her classical voice. It's not expected to appeal to everyone, although it is being well received by her fans and those who who relate to it in their own way. She continues to perform in her classical crossover style, "in her lane" as you put it. If you don't relate or appreciate it, that's fine, but at least respect this effort at songwriting, composing and producing her own music.

I feel like this song was safe for her voice. I love her and understand she needed to write her feelings and get stuff off her chest, but when she was on the masked singer she really showed the diversity in her voice, she covered some really difficult stuff from Amy winehouse and Celine dion, so I feel like she’s holding back here.
