I wished she had never stopped classical singing. That’s where her voice is at it’s best. She veered away and is not as popular today. That performance there was just stunning.

She continues to perform classical and classical crossover songs in her concerts. In fact, this Puccini medley is her standard encore. Meanwhile she explores other genres and is excellent at interpreting them with the appropriate vocal style, the latest being her tribute to legendary singer/songwriter, Joni Mitchell. Her voice has the same exceptional beauty and purity regardless of genre.

I still remember her first audition on AGT back in 2010. My dad, who is tone deaf and NOT musical in the slightest, came rushing up to me, overwhelmed with emotion after hearing this little 10yr old girl sing like an angel. A band kid in my senior year of high school, I was brought to tears. Still, 12 years later, Ms. Evancho is all grown up and still brings tears to my eyes every time I hear her voice. 🥲🥰

I remember that audition so well beautiful angelic. They used to have it on KZbin and her Uncle. Matt is the one that wrote the song that she sang. But I cannot find it on you too, anymore. Her dad accompanied her backstage at every live performance for 6 six years, since she was 12 years old while her mother remained home with her 3 siblings .....over 150 concerts nation-wide and abroad, plus special appearances, TV performances and private engagements. Her parents managed her career until she turned 18 (just prior to this performance in China) when she took command of her career as an independent artist. At that time, her dad became her official concert manager, by her request, and still stands back stage at her concerts and special appearances.

What and incredible voice and girl. I never get tired of this and other videos she has done. I love the PURE pitches she hits without any wobble in her voice that other vocalists make with absolutely perfect pitch. I heard an Ear Nose and Throat Dr say that it is her brain, not her vocal chords, that gives her that incredible voice. She has physically changed from the 10 year old on AGT to the beautiful young woman she is now. Her voice is so unlike all the other dime a dozen singers you hear with the absolutely pitch perfect notes she hits and holds without warbling, and the unbelievable high notes she hits. Her voice has not deteriorated from 10yo until now and likely has improved.

That is legendary producer/musician, David Foster (The Hitman), who produced Jackie's album, Dream With Me at age 10. He also produced and hosted Jackie's PBS Great Performances concert "Dream With Me in Concert" at age 11, while also accompanying her on piano. He accompanied her on piano at many of his Celebrity Fight Night concert specials and for her performances with Andrea Bocelli in Thailand and Italy at age 15. They worked together off an on until she was 16. She was 18 at the time of this performance.

I can't stand opera, But I will give Jackie her due. If anybody could talk me into listening to opera, it would have to be Jackie singing it. Both of those songs are not that easy, and Jackie nailed them both. David Foster's reactions told the story. I have never seen songs done in Italian, with Chinese sub titles. I really didn't understand any of it.
