Jackie is the world's best opera singer without a doubt. I was listening to her for over 8 hours today and am listening to her every day without exception. *Jackie Evancho's* performance here was horribly butchered by the producers. She sings this song much, much better than this. They had her shorten the song by more than 3 minutes, taking out all her high notes and then cutting the finishing note by 6 seconds. I've heard her sing this live numerous times. There are dozens of youtube videos of Jackie singing the full version of 'Music of the Night'.

She was never going to win AGT after they found out she already had a promotional contract with David Foster. She was only allowed to continue because she was a ratings bonanza for the show. She is a beautiful girl with a golden voice. She had some very poor advise a few years ago when her management agreed to her performing at Donald Trump's Inauguration. It was a PR disaster as she was the only A-List performer there. And embarrassed to be billed with the likes of "Kid Rock" Her management had not made her or her parents aware that all the decent performers were boycotting Trump's bash. It did not kill her carrier, but it sure didn't help it either.

After the Inauguration performance Jackie Evancho had 6 sold out concerts in a row. At the first one in Texas the day after the Inauguration she received multiple standing ovations including when she first walked on stage. They let her know how much they admired her courage. Meanwhile her Christmas album 'Someday At Christmas' shot up the charts and finished as the #3 overall Christmas album in the country. The only 2 albums ahead of her were by super group Pentatonix. It wasn't until she began publicly asking President Trump to meet with her about transgenders that her career took a downturn. She became a useful political tool for the rabid left. They used her to harass Trump but then didn't support her the way the pro Trump supporters had been doing. However the transgender issue is also what saved her from being savaged even more in the news media than she had already been.

I have been to 3 of Jackie's concerts! Including on back to back nights in 2019! Front row center both nights. Someone asked me why I went 2 nights in a row. Especially since the sets were the same. I told them "Because Jackie is THAT good!" I highly recommend that you need to see Jackie perform live! She is unbelievable.

She is still the highest selling vocalist ever to come from AGT in command of a multi-million-dollar career. This Champions appearance was a means for greater exposure for herself and promotion for the show, having given 4 guest performances since she was 11, including a special appearance following this grossly edited performance.

Unfortunately Jackie was cancelled by the liberal music industry because she performed the national anthem at the 2017 presidential inauguration of Donald Trump. It was ugly and shameful what CNN did to her performance, distorting the audio to make her sound weak, off pitch and faltering, thus setting her up for ridicule because of her ASSUMED association with Trump. Consequently she doesn't have the high dollar backing and support from the major labels necessary to promote her talent. But, actually she doesn't want it, because she is an artist of rare integrity and principle who will not compromise herself to be owned and dictated to by a major label. She certainly does not lack confidence as a performer, having performed over 190 solo concerts around the country in the nation's finest music halls and theaters , and command performances in 10 other countries, plus countless private engagements and special appearances, many of her performances before large live audiences of up to 100 thousand, and on national TV such as her solo concert specials for PBS Great Performances (3 times). She is an independent artist writing, composing and producing her own music under a small Nashville label, self- managing her career at present while dealing with a serious eating disorder, health issues limiting her concert engagements. Her father has been her concert manager for about 7/8 years, and she has her own music director/pianist and small ensemble who accompany her on stage. She just gave a command performance at Tata Theater in Mumbai, India last week. And, she will be performing in concert on Dec. 3rd with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra at the Davies Symphony Hall. Btw, she co-starred with Robert Redford by personal request from Redford in his movie The Company You Keep, when she was 11, having had no acting experience. She would like to do more acting as an adult, she said.

A few writers, a few columnists, a few irrelevant bloggers, but nothing really mainstream. She had announced a short while ago that she and her co-producer are working on a "Solla" tour.....no dates or venues as yet.....but will most likely be in smaller intimate venues like Feinstein's 54 Below, NYC, where she performed numerous times, that attract the alt-pop audience which is the target audience for her original music. Like I said, she is self-managing her career by choice as an independent artist. You heard her song "Get Out of My Life", so you ought to know she has no interest in meeting anyone's expectations. She said, "Classical will always have my heart, and I will probably always sing it, but it was time for a change". She explained that during the pandemic shut-down, which was very difficult time for her psychologically, emotionally and physically, she wrote "Consequences" about making a "permanent decision". "Solla", as her first original album (EP) is the result of that decision, all be it delayed by having recorded and released COT. She was inspired by Joni Mitchell as a songwriter and was compelled to offer her renditions as a tribute and as an experiment with a somewhat different vocal style which led to her present alt-pop/rock style, first demonstrated with Behind My Eyes.
