I’m a father and both of my now teenagers have made comments that they think they are bi-sexual. This conversation right here has helped me a lot as far as how I am approaching it with them. I thank God for your testimony.

What I heard in this was that is is natural or in the nature of the flesh to desire that which God opposes. Don't think that you have not received salvation because after receiving the gift that is Christ and salvation, you still find yourself attracted to the same-sex. Taking on the mind of Christ is becoming aware that sin, that nature, has no control over you anymore. It is fully and completely defeated because of what Christ has accomplished on the cross.

It still can be a temptation, even if you have received salvation though Jesus Christ. Jesus was tempted, but He did not sin. Some people may still be tempted from time to time, but we have the choice not to sin. It is because of Christ's victory on the the cross and raising from the dead that we can have the strength and authority (in Him) to deny our fleshly desires and choose not to give into the temptations. The power of sin is defeated and in Christ we have victory, but the enemy will do what he can to try to make us falter (i.e. in the form of temptation). (I hope this makes sense)

I don't think you truly understand, my dear brothers and sisters, the bible clearly states in 1 Kings 8: 39 that God is all about the heart and he knows the heart of every person which Peter stated in Acts and he ain't worrying about your clothes you didn't even come into the world with clothes on, also I've never read where Jesus died for our homosexuality,drugs,alcohol, abortion etc. But it does say he died for our sins and then rose on the 3rd day by God's great power. Furthermore on this whole man and woman thing that people trip over, let Paul a man of God and Christ set the record straight if you open your word up to 1 Corinthians 7 he pretty much says its not even good for a man to have sexual relations with a woman but if he should he should have his Own wife he even states it better to be single cause you focus more on the affairs of the lord . We don't except Christ into our hearts to be saved from homosexuality, we except him into our hearts to be saved from sins , Matthew 6:33 says if we seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, all these things will be added unto you. Psalm 37:4 says if we delight ourselves in him, he'll give us the desires of his heart, you just don't go doing these things of selves, we can do nothing on our own john 15:5 Jesus even said that, so No we don't go just deciding to stop being gay or change or clothes or drinking or smoking, God helps us overcome the things that are bad for us or that hinder us from a relationship with him, dont hate on Jesus because of the good works he's begun in this woman, because they will be perfected whether you like it or not . I was delivered from these things as well. Matthew 19:26 says with God all things are possible, Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me , we are going to face trials sorrows struggles through life but in Christ we may have peace john 16:33 it says may because its our choice to choose peace our pain, fortunately Jackie chose peace, I praise God for changing this woman's life and mine as well , love you guys and Jesus loves you to and there ain't nothing you can do about it lol

I used to be gay before I was saved. You're right, it wasn't satisfying at all. The knowledge of that I think made it very easy for me to not go back to it. I wanted to be straight before I got saved, and it was like god pushed a button and I finally got out of it. The temptation is there from time to time though, so yeah you still have to be on top of it. :)

Sin is defined as "Falling short of the Glory of God", in other words, failing to meet the required degree of Holiness as God perceives it. True Religion or Spirituality attempts to define man and seeks to set a standard upon which we can measure our true state. What many including myself believe to be the problem with being gay is the mere fact that "Feels Good" or "Doesn't Feel Good" are not premises upon which we can established a matter as being right or wrong, i.e. because I feel a certain way, then I can act a certain way. Rather these premises can be determined by Laws of "Nature" and "Conscience". The first element, laws of "Nature" Anatomically speaking, same sex unions are unnatural as demonstrated by the physical contradiction of the act, Logically speaking, a man is more naturally fitted to have sex with a woman and vice versa . With regards to "Conscience", the equivalent to this in my estimation is "Instinct" and the "Genetic Code". Here is the plot in my view; Take away God , take away judgement, take away accountability, takeaway the standard and hopefully take away guilt. Deep inside us we all know sin, whether we enjoy it or not. Beware of the "Seared Conscience".

I see she's married to a man now with a beautiful child. I wonder if she's really happy in all aspects. She speaks of sexuality as if it's talking someone on a diet down from eating a donut. We don't need donuts, but our sexuality is like a limb. You will miss that limb when it's no longer available. I wonder how it feels to lay with someone whose body parts you are not naturally attracted to. As a heterosexual woman, I couldn't imagine having to Trick my mind to be sexually attracted to a woman. I had a friend who was very gay and he got back into the church. He got married to a woman and had two kids. He even taught a class at his church about stopping same sex attraction. He preached as hard and as passionate as this woman. At first I was definitely suspicious, but after 5 yrs I truly thought he wasn't gay anymore. One day he calls me telling me his ex partner from way back was harassing him. After sometime of this, I finally got upset and confronted this man without my friends knowledge. To my surprise, his ex provided me with undisputed current texts,pictures and video of their on going relationship. I tell this story to say this: A gay person pretending to be straight is like someone removing air. The body will do what ever it needs to get that air back. You can only pretend for so long.

In the Old Testament, God used the wicked Assyrian Empire to wreak havoc and discipline His own people - but then He said that they (the Assyrians) had a haughty, vicious attitude in doing so, and they would pay for that. He was glorified, but that doesn't mean that everyone involved was 'right'. There are many opportunities where God can show His power and majesty through difficult circumstances. Those circumstances give us chances to look to Him for the strength to overcome and find our wholeness in Him.

Daniel Thomas I'm saying that she's blatantly saying that homosexuality is immoral, whilst in the same passage that's often quoted in Leviticus, it admonishes tattoos. As far as thinking this kind of talk is harmful, it's simply because people with a predisposition to a faith that doesn't base itself on evidence are more likely to adhere to a code of conduct that embraces hatred, such as the hatred towards the LGBTQ community in the Abrahamic religions.

Logan Rutledge Hey there, one thing you have to understand is the context from which you speak. First of all, tattoos were banned by God in Leviticus because those particular people (who had tattoos) had them to worship and give thanks go their idol "gods". They did not believe in God but worshiping other gods. This is considered idolatry, which is a sin. Paul brings it up again in the New Testament (1 Corinthians). He mentions idolatry as well as homosexuality as sinful. However, he list them as nouns, not verbs. Acting out on temptations of idolizing and homosexuality are sinful. However, identifying yourself in Christ and resisting those temptations are drawing you closer to Him.

Logan Rutledge Gods Word is itself a form of evidence to those who fear God. So its not just "believing in something because of faith" in general. THere is an object of faith: the revealed word through prophets, apostles, evangelists and the Son of God. As someone wrote, the tattoos mentioned are about the idolatry of the nations surrounding Israel. THey had their customs and Israel was supposed to be seperated and sanctified for the work of the lord. In a similair way we christians are to avoid the idolatry of our time (which nowadays is often the golden calf of the mind, people everywhere fileld with Satans lies "you can be like God", "Did God really say..?" "Surely you will not lie" etc) Just like the greek sought after "wisdom" and based on that was rejected the message of the cross, and just like the jews looks for signs as proof of his divinity, many still today have the idols of the mind, believing ONLY in what they can see (science) and putting the EGO above Gods word, despising Gods Word. A good way to apply the laws against tattoos would actually be to turn away from the idols of the mind flourishing in our days. The old testament should be read in the light of the new testament, since Jesus Christ has fulfilled the law, though not abolishing it. We need to search to see how the old testament laws are used in the new testament. It is very clear that in the new testament sex outside of marriage is sin, and also unnatural sexual relationships like homosexuality. Marriage is still the valid relationship in the new testament and marriage is described as a lifelong union between one man and one woman. A lifelong commitment. The phenomena of having the soceity normalizing homosexuality is described as a symptom of having the entire soceity forgetting who God is. Yeah its described as the fruit of idolatry, in Romans 1.

She's imposing her own faith life on all other gay people. There are gay Christians whose relationship with Christ is as deep as hers. They see scripture as differently on this issue, but that's hardly the only issue where this has happened among Christians. To approach a gay Christian married couple and presume they dealing only with lust, and that their lives are miserable because they are dwelling in nothing but all sorts of other sin and bitterness is a toxic message to bring to anyone.

What I do know in all sincerity is as your intimate relationship with GOD grows and you continue to yield all areas of your life to GOD the appetites and habits you used to have will continually dissolve... if you are truly sincere in your walk with the LORD the things that are not pleasing to GOD will be removed.. they will dissipate like a vapor and you'll be shocked at how it happened... I will say that the majority of what she said was accurate and biblical, the only problem I see here is the fact that she may still be leading or dealing with a homosexual lifestyle. I believe there is a big difference in sinning and living in sin. As far as homosexuality goes, when God supernaturally regenerates a person giving them a new heart, he also gives them new desires. I know a few people who were once homosexuals in their fallen, sinful state, Got saved and then found attraction in the opposite sex and the change also showed in their appearance. They literally became straight and thus began to live that way. For a professed christian to say "I'm of christ, born again but still living a homosexual lifestyle, and calling it a "battle with sin" is un-biblical in my eyes. Now if this young lady is no longer living a gay lifestyle, than glory be to God for this conversion in Christ, let her become of Christ and start representing herself through her appearance as a woman and not a girl who looks like a homosexual.

It's sad because, what is a " woman" ? is wearing "cute" clothes or "being" a certain type of way, going to make you more or less of a woman?
