Yes, it is very scary because the things that seem so innocent could be straight from the enemy. I personally live my life by Proverbs 3: 5-6. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. We fall into wrong situations, wrong relationships, etc., when we don’t first consult, and acknowledge God. He must be apart of every decision we make. When we do things on our own without seeking the wisdom of the Father, it grieves His heart. Remember it’s God who writes the script not us. Peace & Blessing’s. 🙏🏾💜🙏🏾

Therapy can absolutely be demonic if we’re not careful. A therapist told me it’s nothing wrong sleeping w/ someone I don’t care about and then holding myself for someone I love. Good show!

It really depends. These are worldly people who have different standards but psychodynamic therapy is not demonic. The techniques are skills of repentance which means to have a "change of mind". That's exactly what cognitive behavioral therapy is all about. Confession is similar as one of Sigmund Freud's first discoveries was that if people speak enough to someone who doesnt interject or judge them then they will eventually reveal things about themselves. Prayer has a similar mechanism but its direct communication to God, who always listens and provides a safe space. Its generally from requests to confession All in all, You've just got to eat the meat and spit out the bones. Some things are just to help and other things are unhelpful worldly advice from an un-regenerate person.

You better preach, Jackie! I worked for a Christian ministry and eneagrams came up at a retreat we were all on. Some of the ladies were giving their numbers and I didn't know about this, but it did not bear witness in my spirit. I was floored that Christian women would embrace something like this that felt like a tradition of men. We are sheep among wolves and must try the spirits!!! 1st time in your channel. Short testimony! I was reading a Christian book and in the book the author mentioned something about Enneagrams even suggested the book! I was familiar with the word Enneagram just never knew much about it! So I decided that I was going to check out the book I went and purchased it. I got home and I started flipping through the pages and instantly I got this overwhelming sense that the book was demonic. At first I thought it was me so I put the book down came back a few hours later still had the same feeling again to the point I started feeling conviction for even owning it. In that moment the Holy Spirit revealed to me that it was not of God. I immediately stop what I was doing and took it back to the store. From that day on anything someone suggest I always do research before buying it.

Even with love languages it seems like the focus is ones self how they accept love when God is continually wanting us to grow and mature spiritually. The Bible always talks about esteeming others more than ourselves so the idea of not accepting or seeing an action as love based on your personal preference is kind of selfish. God expresses love in so many ways it's multifaceted and who he is so if God wants to love you in a certain way who are we to be like well my love language is this so God isn't loving me and I don't feel love. It seems to groom people into being set in their ways, slightly selfish, and immature. The Bible says to submit to one another and love according to the word not our personal preference. Maybe the challenge is to see the heart and intentions behind someone's act of love regardless of our preference and have the maturity to allow ourselves to be pruned and stretched and given the revelation of that love to be able to accept and then also desire that type of love and gain a new perspective on the types and depth of love.

Interesting because reading one of the books in the love languages series the message seemed to be that many people can feel unloved. When in reality that feeling is an untruth because love can and is expressed in a myriad of ways. Once that’s understood people start to see, receive and give love in its many different forms. The author Gary Chapman is a Christian and was a marriage counsellor, helping couples understand one another better. I believe the first book in the series was for married couples and then he expanded the series to include relationships with parents, teens and God’s love languages. When people read the books they’ll get deeper revelations about being able to receive and give love. Now I don’t know if many people today bother to read Chapman’s books or whether people are relying on social media soundbites which has reduced love languages to labelling their love language and demanding to be loved in that one way. If that’s the case then the point of the ‘love languages’ books has been totally missed.! Yes, it’s important to know who you are especially in Christ but we can use the concept of love languages to love on one another especially with those who may not know or feel love in this world.

Love language is not an identity factor, but more of a preference in my opinion. What do you usually prefer. You know how you feel when you spend quality time with a loved one rather than them buying you a gift. It’s the same with apology language. Some people are ok with just a “I’m sorry” others want to see changed behavior before they believe you are truly sorry.

Not being funny but I learned about enneagram from my white Christian brothers and sisters. They were always talking in numbers about themselves and their personalities and were trying to guess what I was. Something just didn’t feel right about it to me although I’ve taken the DISC assessment but it did not have a cult following like the enneagram. In my opinion only God can tell you Who you are. The DISC for examples sheds light on How you show up in certain situations at the point in your life you happen to take it. Some people make these things their destiny or like it’s set. God can change/transform anyone.

Solid points on why we shouldn’t go to sources other than His word. Here’s how I see it. He is a God of order, that created the universe within a set order. As such, it would make sense that we, in a very general sense, have traits common to the natural order of things…BUT, for us to determine our identity by that natural order is worship of the created thing over the Creator. Our identity is not in the created thing. Once we believe and receive redemption, our identity is in Christ, the one through whom and by whom all things were made. This is an identity that transcends and supersedes natural order, because by being created in His image/likeness we have been ultimately called to have dominion over it. To define ourselves by it, robs us of our divine right as children by the Spirit of adoption to be heirs to the Kingdom of God. Separating us from this identity and inheritance has been the goal of the enemy since the garden and the Fall.

I think enneagrams and other personality tests can be helpful, but we shouldn’t allow our identity or the identity of others to be found in these things. As far as it being demonic, I didn’t hear the creator say it was a demon who gave him the information, and idk if he is a Christian or not, because it could’ve been a holy or unholy spirit guiding him. But with anything, we should only rely on what God says about us in His Word, not man made psychological theories.
