I believe that Hell really is separation from God. I had a split second experience of Hell once. It's hard to explain but I was walking along and I just, in a split second, felt how it would feel in Hell. It was absolute despair, darkness, bleakness. It was completely barren of any experience of goodness or opportunity for well-being because God is the source of every good thing. Hell is choosing to be away from every good thing. Choose God, he is goodness.

I think she did good standing on what she believes. I think many of us may imagine hell differently, like I don’t believe it compares to your worst day on earth. But other than that, I appreciate her standing on her convictions, even when they tried to trip her up by asking about other people going to hell, she really stood on the truth that anyone who doesn’t accept Christ will. I thought she was going to fold at that point but she said yes with no extra apologies for God’s word. Great conversation too everyone!!

Black folk that don't believe in God always confuses and gives me this off feeling like "this is not right like" it hit different when it's them. But it would have been great if B Simone could remember some verse to share at that time and as followers in Christ practicing verses is very helpful on this walk when we encounter those who are rejecting Yah and his son. I also love that you mentioned that we don't deserve to spend Eternity with him so the fact that he gave us a blueprint to follow to prove ourselves worthy of spending eternity with him is a huge blessing in itself and we should be grateful for his forgiving love.

The horrors of Hell are beyond anything that the human mind can conceive in your wildest fever dreams and nightmares. It is beyond any horrors in this human realm and its limitations. It wasn't made for us but for Satan and the fallen angels. Repent even when you slip keep getting back up and pray for strength. Fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom. The desires of this world aren't worth it if it going to send to you to Hell. Her spirit spoke up for her.

@@bre3365 wistful thinking. I accept the gift of salvation but I know that I definitely have the choice to turn away from God and choose damnation. God expects us to at least try to live right. We can tap into His righteousness and strength in order to be empowered to do it but He definitely still expects us to attempt to live right. If it was that easy, the path to eternity wouldn't be narrow. We're expected to take up our cross and follow Him. I don't worry about it because He provides the increase. I wake up and choose Christ. After a while, it gets to be kind of second nature because He is doing a great work in me ❤️ I'm so grateful

Like the woman Jesus told to “Go & sin no more.” I’ll give you some verses. “You therefore must be perfect, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.” “In Matthew 5:48 Jesus continues setting the standard higher than we are wont to set it. The literal interpretation is likely what Jesus intended. We are called to be absolutely perfect, matching the perfection of our heavenly Father. Every aspect of our being should align with God’s ways, including our deepest thoughts. The Greek word used, teleios, conveys a sense of maturity, completeness, or attaining a goal. In this context, the goal is to meet God’s standard, not simply settle for human morality. A follower of Christ cannot take an attitude of “I’m good enough.”” We aren’t to settle for “we aren’t perfect” but I’m sowing with all my heart to live a life of righteousness. God knows if we are really willing to live a life of righteous perfection or if we secretly in our hearts love sin & are comfortable with sinning everyday. It’s a hard walk but the spirit who lives within us to enable us to live righteously 🩷 I pray that we all receive the wisdom on this topic & we seek the God above all else.

The Bible is very clear about hell being a place of fire and a place of torment. We don’t get to choose what type of “hell” we believe in. And yes the Bible is very clear on every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord, meaning there won’t be anyone on Earth that doesn’t KNOW of him. Free will unsubmitted to God will send you straight to hell because our hearts are wicked and deceitful. There is no goodness apart of Jesus.! We literally have no goodness in us without him.!

The Bible actually isn't very clear about a lot of things; it's quite contradictory and has many parts proven false. Those parts are not from God. It's the writing of men about God and has never been authenticated as true. No one even knows who wrote the majority of it Jesus is true and his religion is true but he did not tell anyone he was Lord or God or to worship him and that is what Christians were upon for three centuries before "Pauline Christianity" came to the forefront and Christians took Jesus as God.

In Matthew 24:14 it says And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Someone may have died without ever hearing about Jesus and I do believe the God we serve is just. I feel she could have pulled scripture and told them exactly what hell is and what the ungodly can look forward to, without accepting Christ. She will get it. He doesn’t force us to love him back, nor to despise him. He doesn’t force us to worship nor to slander him. I want to make something very clear, I’m not a Christian due to reading the Bible, I’m a Christian due to Jesus coming into my life and making himself known to me when I called on him. My testimony is why I have strong faith in him. I could sit here and debate scripture and philosophical ideas all day, but rest assured the things that have happened in my life within the past year I can never forget nor forsake. I’m not just taking a shot in the dark here. I was agnostic most of my adult life friend. There’s a VERy real and VERY important reason why I am no longer a skeptic or non believer. It’s odd how man tries to be God himself, and even go as far as to say how God should act or what God should do…but it’s not God who needs to conform to us, rather us who need to conform to him. You don’t need man to tell you God is real. There is evidence all around you and within you. Ask yourself, when you walk down the street and see houses, do you doubt that an architect designed the house? Surely you don’t just assume the house naturally formed by accident? Now think about this world, which is FAR more complex than a house. It is fully functional and intricate down to the smallest creatures which effect entire vast ecosystems, and all this works together so that life is sustained full circle. You think this is all some cosmic accident? We know spontaneous generation doesn’t work, so how can one believe that’s how man came to be? Or life at all? What about consciousness? Why do we have a moral law encoded in our being? Why do we care about other people, or animals? Who encoded that into us? Even the cells in your body have intricate mechanics and design involved. Things you don’t get out of thin air, let alone a void of nothingness. The God I serve made us in his image, and loves us. He has given us value and worth. I know I’ve said a lot, but friend, if you want truth without relying on man, you need only seek it out yourself. Call on Jesus with your heart and soul, and you WILL find him. Rest assured those who hear his call will answer, and he is closer to you than you ever would think.

By that I mean Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims etc. all have stories about divine intervention or miracles.All of them cannot be true as all of them do not have the same beliefs. A lot of people don’t believe in hell being hot. One reason is that they believe it’s an analogy. It’s described as fiery in one scripture and in another its outer darkness. So the rationale is you can’t have both and jesus said the kingdom of heaven is LIKE this……. Giving room to believe that they are analogies for unquenchable thirsts, wants, and needs never being provided. So this is not an uncommon response because we know we will be in eternity with him or without. Have you ever known him and been far away and then just surrendered? That time away without his voice and presence is woooooo treacherous.

Not believing in something doesn't mean you're rejecting it or choosing the opposite. Freewill does not help you have the ability to believe in something you simply don't believe in. Most Christians would I assume, agree that they could not choose to believe in Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, etc. If Jesus were to appear before me and give me the choice, then I would choose him. But at this point, all we have is several books written by human beings representing many different religions. How are to know which book, if any, is devine?

I grew up in church and all of a sudden found myself questioning if Jesus was real. I thought about being Muslim but I decided to ask God to show me. I truly opened my mind up to be shown & I started a fast (denying myself of food throughout the day for so many hours). During the fast, I earnestly prayed to be shown and I started researching scientific evidence of Christ’s existence vs scriptures in the Bible. Long story short, by the end of the fast, (1) I found physical evidence of Jesus’ existence (You can Google this on KZbin), (2) God spoke to me about how he would use me as a healthcare provider, and (3) A pastor spoke prophetically about how God would use me. Since my supernatural experience, nobody can tell me he doesn’t exist…. So pray, fast, and ask him to show himself to you. Also be open to him showing you that he’s real (1) through dreams, (2) through his word, and (3) through people. I’ll be praying for you. ❤

We actually don't know that Jesus said that since Biblical scholars now understand John's gospel to be historically inaccurate and a literary developed Johannine product. The author was embellishing which is what that gospel is so different from the other gospels and their sources.

Matthew 24:14 shares that His word will be preached to all the nations. So everyone will get an opportunity to choose. There are other supporting verses as we in Hebrew , Jeremiah, and Ephesians. But my question is if we don't have we a choice (as a follower), what's the point of free-will that is the God's beautiful Gift? Based on the title of this I have to disagree. B Simone didn't shut down anything. But that's based on listening to the conversation. Also the woman in the middle is not atheist.
