I have "The World According to Me" memorized! That's how many times I've listened to it! He was hilarious. I grew up in a half Italian half Jewish neighborhood in the Bronx and my best friends were Jewish and I picked up all the Yiddish expressions! Even learned some Hebrew! Love you Jackie!

My mother and I saw Jackie Mason perform live...we came to the theater with our make-up on. After Jackie's performance, we left without our make-up on...that's how funny he was!!!

The greatest comedian of them all. Saw him in London in the late 80s. The audience was laughing so much and so loudly it wasn't always possible to hear all the routine.

I adored him and will keep adoring him. He picked on everyone but made certain that respect became part of his act. If he faltered, I never saw or heard it. Im a Christian and I never could get enough of his humor. RIP, you wonderful man!

Saw him at a casino in Atlantic City many years ago, in the 80’s. I was front and center and I was hysterical laughing. Tears running down my cheeks, my face hurt, I couldn’t breathe. He points to me and says, you really like this stuff huh? Yes Jackie, I really do. Underrated, pure funny. Love Jackie Mason. ❤️

I had an experience like this around this time while watching George Carlin on a late night tv show mocking country music in a routine that contained him racing through actual song titles like, I'LL NEVER FORGET OLD WHAT'S HIS NAME, IF YOUR PHONE DOESN'T RING, IT'S ME; SHE GOT THE THE GOLD MINE AND I GOT THE SHAFT; YOUR RIGHT, I'M LEFT, SHE'S GONE; THE NEXT TIME YOU SEE ME I'LL BE GONE; I FORGOT TO REMEMBER TO FORGET, ETC., ALONG WITH DOZENS OF OTHERS HE HAD OBVIOUSLY MADE UP. I LAUGHED SO HARD I STARTED HYPERVENTILATING AND FELL OFF THE SOFA AND CRAWLED AWAY INTO A NEARBY WALK-IN CLOSET SO I COULDN'T HEAR THE TV, AS MY ROOMMATE AT THE TIME WAS WATCHING, OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE TURNED THE T.V. OFF. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE LAUGHING, AS HAS HAPPENED IN DOCUMENTED CASES, SUCH AS A 13TH CENTURY ITALIAN VIRTUOSO VIOLINIST WHO DIED LAUGHING WATCHING A MONKEY TRYING TO PUT ON A PAIR OF BOOTS.

July 25h 2021 and it has been reported that Jackie has died aged 93. I laughed until I cried each time I saw him live. One of the greatest stand up comedians whose timing was second to none.

I used to study at a Starbucks near Columbus Circle in NYC. Mason's manager struck up a conversation with me as I was trying to study. Jackie came over and berated him (humorously) for interrupting me when I was obviously busy. A thoughtful and down to earth guy.

Absolutely brilliant. His sense of timing, his gestures, and inciteful, often cutting, wit were unique. Even though he repeated many of his jokes and stories, they were still funny every time. His was the best Jewish humour you could hear. RIP.

Because he reminds me of an analyzer, someone who watches others, listens, follows the narrative and comes to insulting, but funny conclusions. @@jww128 JW, a little leg work and you get answers, not assumptions. JMason got married in 1991, has a child from a woman in Florida he knew in the '80"s. He's still having trouble with women to this point, but his act doesn't reveal it. As a Rabbi, he should read the Torah and obey it , so his troubles would not be moral ones. We pray for him. This news about his private life saddens me deeply. I have known of him since 1987. Salute.
