I noticed that the therian explanation video was a bit misleading, as even not one myself yet from what I have been told by many therians, Therians are people(yes, they do know they are people. They are not trying to be wild animals) whom have a belief that in a past life, they where a animal of some sorts and feel connected to that past life, which is why many see them with masks, tails, doing quads, etc. now the ones who claim they are animals and not a human are often doing it because it’s the “ trend “, yet I’ve seen many therians agree with what I’ve been told. Hope this helped for understanding ^^ Great stream, anyways, but just wanted to clear that up!

As a therian, yes theyre very seperate communities!! :) We dont believe we're physically animals, but we believe usually that either we had a past life as an animal or got our soul messed up with a human one. Theres a few more terms but these two are the easiest to explain to people outside of the alterhuman community!

To quickly explain what therian is, no therians do no believe they are animals (physically anyways) its is NOT spiritual belief it is an identity, but often what therians think makes them a therian IS a spiritual belief ex: past lives, spirits etc. Therians feel connected to animals and believe they are ones on a NON PHYSICAL level so spiritually, physiologically etc. What the therian was doing in the video (16:42 ) is a sport called quadrobics where you run and jump on all fours, some therians also wear gear (fake wings, tail, ears etc) and do vocals of their theriotype to connect with it! not all therians do this and some non therians do this! Being a therian is not a choice! Just please respects therians, they are valid!!

Secondly not all therians believe in anything spiritual, all they know is they have a deep connection with an animal and some therians believe this is due to spiritual reasons. Also there is NOTHING wrong with not believing in past lives, you're allowed to have your own beliefs but disrespecting spiritual beliefs like that is just not okay.
