Teardrop being cast into her own team to suffer with challenges by herself is a good representation of how people who are considered 'different' (her not talking) are usually outcasted, humiliated and bullied. Not only has she been threatened and forced talk in the past, but even her creations were shown to be not only made as less, but also treated as less. With her never talking, probably selective mutism, or mutism all together, she has a severe disadvantage compared to the other contestants. This and the fact she is the only one in her team. So basically she has a severe disadvantage.
