@@peteryork6910 so maybe this will help. I have had a Deere. An LT180. It was a fine machine and worked well. What made me go to Cub was price. Fixing the Deere is super expensive. Parts are insanely high priced. The cub works equally as well and is a fraction of the cost. Parts are obtainable on Amazon and much more affordable. I still have and use my Cub. It has 400+ hours on it and I will buy another one. Thanks for watching.

Most useful video I've seen in a long time. If only all KZbin content were like this. Just swapped blower without having to get the kids or wife involved

So that BLACK box on the frame comes off separately? Then hook PTO cable first before installing snow blower. I have the same setup as you. Thanks
@jackofalltrades7822
@jackofalltrades7822 2 жыл бұрын
Yup. 2 part to the snowblower. The PTO and the blower unit. If you go into n exactly the reveres order of the video that would be the install.

Great video, I have the same set up but I found I was breaking the shear pins multiple times on the yellow auger even though I was not over-taxing it.....have you had the same issue?
@jackofalltrades7822
@jackofalltrades7822 2 жыл бұрын
I have broken a couple. Usually because I sent a chunk of ice through it. It always seems to be the back half of the auger.

I bought this recently and I never once thought about the snow blower attachment. Right now I'm paying a neighbor (I live in Maine) and he does a great job but wondering if I can take on the task myself this year if I get the blower. Was wondering what you thought, my driveway is not paved, its gravel/dirt and is about 250 yards long, with maybe 25 total feet of incline. Is this actually an option? Not sure if it can handle the length, heavy snow and incline. Any thoughts on this I would appreciate it. Thanks

No, I have not lost a single belt. Make sure you have it routed correctly and the belt is the correct length.

You remove the snowblower frame first, separate from the PTO assembly, another video leaves it all attached as one unit and drops it with the snowblower frame. Is there a reason you do it this way instead of leaving both pieces attached and drop all at once?
@jackofalltrades7822
@jackofalltrades7822 11 ай бұрын
Yes. It is way too heavy with the PTO still attached. That PTO unit is not light and it is easier to separate it than try to manhandle it. Thanks for watching.

For the life of me I can't figure out why they put that "bow pin" bracket with 2 holes on every deck, necessitating labeling which hole the pin goes in on which deck. Why not have the proper one for each deck size instead of dual-hole ones on all decks?
