My guess this will cover the novel arc when Dante still employed at Bob’s Cellar as one of their handyman’s. That place kinda like a tavern for mercenary gatherings. He was their top dog. I get this conclusion cuz Dante still uses regular pistols (something like Beretta) instead of Ebony & Ivory. Later he got those from Nell whom specifically nurtures a master craft guns that could withstands Dante’s inhuman trigger motion which inturn produce insane amount of rapid fire generated from a single gun. (Most regular guns ends up broken after he unleashes it).

Everyone's pointing out how Johnny was the voice actor for Ichigo but one roll of his that I grew up with was Adam the black Mighty Morphin Power Ranger he was the actor for him an even on occasion comes back to play him

Johnny is the voice of ichigo too in the dub of Bleach, and now he is a younger dante aswell. There is rumours that this anime is probably before DMC3, so no lady or trish accompanying dante jobs, and the anime could have connections with some novels like DMC 3 novel. Since dante in this trailer doesn't have his iconic pistols yet made by nell Goldstein, ebony and ivory.

The showrunner Adi Shankar said in an interview about a year ago that Vergil and Lady are confirmed to be in the show.

@@DarksideGmss0513 vergil i knew, but lady being there is interesting, because this dante everything point out to him being younger than DMC 3 and DMC1 dante, because rebellion it's still with the mouth closed so that would mean that dante doesn't have full devil trigger yet that he got in DMC3, and in this trailer he is not using ebony and ivory pistols either. We don't even know if this new anime is actually canon for the games or the novels or even the time line of this story. And there is in The trailer boss demons from DMC 4, like the snake demon lady in DMC4 she is in the trailer.

The rabbit at the end is Arkham btw. He used that disguise in the Devil May Cry 3 manga when he tried to lure Dante into a trap.

It’s so cool and interesting that Nero is the voice of young Dante. I heard he might voice Vergil as well, or V will be the voice of Vergil. Either way, it’s awesome! Fun fact: Johnny and Dan originally wanted to voice Dante
