So glad you did this one. Jodeci changed the face of R&B. They were nostly self contained with the lead singers and brothers K-ci (the main singer in this video) and Jojo and then the other set of brothers Dalvin(produced some of their songs, background instruments and vocals) and Devante(who produced and wrote mostly all of their songs as well as for H-Town-you reviewed their song Knockin' The Boots-, Tupac(No More pain) and early Usher. Devante also gave Missy and Timbaland their start. You should do their Lately MTV Unplugged performance(it's epic), Feenin' and the remix to this song which changed how people viewed R&B remixes(that and Mary's first album)

Great choice, R&B royalty right there. Between 91-95 they only put out 3 albums (returned with a new album in 2105)but those albums were amazing albums that forever changed R&B and the culture. K-Ci and JoJo(who are brothers) did most of the leads, k-Ci with the deeper/textured vocals and Jojo with the higher/smoother, vocal. DeVante & Dalvin, brothers as well, also sing but mainly did the backing vocals, They both did production, writing, &vocal arranging( but it was mainly DeVante who actually developed their sound, and did the majority of the aforementioned ), DeVante played many instruments and Dalvin played drums as well. Anyway I could go on all day about this group because they were and still are amazing. I hope you continue listening to their catalogue of music, you won't regret it. Also just a little known fact DeVante was instrumental in finding talent like Missy(in the group Sista), Tim, Playa, Genuwine, Stevie J, Tweet. I believe Missy & Tim worked on two of their albums, and Tim also worked on their latest album in 2015.

Members names is 2 sets of brothers. K-Ci and JoJo Haily. Davantae and Mr.Dalvin. the lead singers are K-Ci and JoJo. JoJo, K-Ci, and Mr.Dalvin sing in the background. DaVantae does all of their beats mainly. He sing sometimes but not often. DaVantae mainly do the baritone vocals in the group. He also produced later beats for Death Row mainly 2pac. They originated outta North Carolina and drove up to NYC with just $300 to their names. They were signed by Andre Harrell who recently died on the Uptown Records. As soon as he heard them the rest is history.

K-Ci Hailey....I was about 14 or 15 when this song came out. I really thought I was gonna marry K-Ci some day 🤣 The name Jodeci is made up of their names. Jo=Jojo Hailey(K-Ci's brother) De=DeVante Degrate...stage name DeVante Swing(he wrote most of their songs, and he's a super producer for many other artists) Ci=K-Ci Hailey.
