This is the first time I've ever listened to Diana Ankudinova, a Russian singer who became very famous in some talent shows at very young age. Here she sings "Wicked Game" by Christ Isaak, during the tv show "You are super!" at the age of 15 (2019). Her tone is really special, original and interesting! From this performance I don't know how to get a very clear idea about her (maybe it wasn't the best song to listen to the first time), but I will definitely listen to more of her to understand her voice better :)

В целом очень интересные комментарии. Весьма дотошный аналитик; внимательный слушатель и зритель. Он сумел увидеть не только сложную вокальную технику, но также эмоциональность исполнения, артистизм и особую тёмную, мистическую эстетику Дианы Анкудиновой. Не стану с ним спорить относительно автотюнинга и прочих эффектов обработки звука, которые он расслышал. Звук на подобных шоу обрабатывается всегда и везде - во всём мире. Но если послушать ещё 5 - 6 выступлений Дианы Анкудиновой на этих шоу - то вопрос сам собой отпадёт; её способность искусной работы со звуком станет очевидной (для того, чтобы такой вопрос стал неактуальным - достаточно послушать "Реченьку"). Продюсеры и звукорежиссёры могли что-то добавить в общую звуковую картину в любой песне - но это никак не меняет её основной сути: сложной, изощрённой, виртуозной работы голоса, на которую мало кто способен во всём мире. В первую очередь, это впечатляющее использование контрастов - по тембральной окраске, по громкости, по насыщенности звука, по эмоциональному наполнению. Быстрые, виртуозные - и очень аккуратные переходы между регистрами, создающие этот контраст - не только на протяжении песни, но прямо на протяжении одного слова, даже одной ноты: ценное сочетание природного дара, изощрённой техники - и артистической дерзости. Именно такое сочетание - чрезвычайная редкость; подражать ему бессмысленно; научиться этому очень сложно; ну а смелости, музыкальной интуиции и той свободе вокального самовыражения, какими обладает Диана Анкудинова - научить вообще невозможно...

Есть совсем немного "реакционеров", которые действительно искренне, непредвзято и профессионально слушают(замечая важные детали и музыкального, и чисто технического характера), не несут банальщину(о, низкий голос) и не "торгуют лицом". Специфика жанра. Это не относится к реакциям именно на Диану, на любого исполнителя. Этот не сказал ничего нового или оригинального. А заметить микроскопическое применение автотюна, если оно ещё и действительно было, и так безапелляционно, сможет скорее всего тот, кто сам его регулярно использует.

Мне тоже понравилась реакция. Насчет добавления небольших эффектов в этом выступлении тоже не могу ручаться, что их не было добавлено. При сведении звука. Тем даже лучше. Пусть наш новый реактор послушает еще ее живые выступления. И составит свое непредвзятое мнение. Тем более Диана как то исполняла эту песню и на концерте.

Контральто 4,5 диапозон актавы. Очень редкий голос. Диана поет с 5 лет. Каждое выступление необыкновенное, театральное, проникновенное. Если полностью слушать ,у кого слезы, у кого мурашки. Конечно лучше слушать не прерывая или не так часто.

There is no autotune, that is her natural voice. Don’t feel bad you’re not the first professional voice coach they fooled. Diana is a phenomenon there is no one on the planet with a voice like hers. Quando è stata adottata a 4 anni ancora non era in grado di parlare correttamente e per aiutarla le hanno insegnato tecniche di canto che lei ha assorbito come altri imparano l'alfabeto,quindi per lei usarle è come respirare. Usa spesso tecniche jodel e suoni che richiamano la natura, e la canzone simbolo di tutto questo è proprio Rechenka, che in russo significa fiume, colui che nella cultura popolare russa divide il mondo dei vivi da quello dei morti.Lei non canta,ti racconta una storia,e tu senza capire una parola non distogli lo sguardo da lei.

Diana does have the unique voice and she has been singing since 2 or 3 y.o. She was adopted and doctors recommended that she should sing because it can help her to start speak... Because in her former family she had no care at all. And one of the judges is Igor Krutoy, after competition finished (of course, with Diana as a winner), Igor has bought an apartment in Moscow to Diana, and she moved to Moscow with her caring mom and granny...

Hey! I discovered Diana Ankudinova when I clicked a link after an Iron Maiden reaction! I do think you are wrong about the auto tune. Diana has said that she regretted not recording the background vocals for this performance herself. And she has said that she has no desire to use auto tune. But she’s never (that I know of) mentioned auto tune in connection with this performance (or any other). I really enjoyed this reaction-I hope you will explore more of the astonishing music of Diana Ankudinova!

Diana sings 99.9% live, as she very often only performs on small stages or in clubs without great technology (only music from the tape and a simple microphone). Also here, in this video she sings live. This is a competition!! Diana has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs. She also has a perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm was exceptional even as a little girl. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice type (her range C3-D7). There is no auto-tune or digital manipulation of her voice. Diana yodels and those hard back and forth flipping of registers during a run are one of her signature sounds. Her vocal control is unlike anything I've ever heard before.

No - is ALL completely her. She is a Yodelling 'expert' too! A brilliant and unique talent. Has developed a lot since then. Yes that is Igor - one of the judges. He was very impressed by her and has since worked with her and also assisted the family in moving them closer to the best music school - to enable her to continue her studies. Diana is now 19, singing in a number of languages and composing her own pieces. A career to watch!

As an expert yodeller, Diana is very good a jumping between notes and using staccato, very precisely flipping between registers, etc. As some others have suggested below, check out Rechenka, which she sang at 14 on the same show, to hear some more of her crazy dynamic ability.

It's sad that there is such talent in the world that others just go for the "autotune" excuse instead of appreciating that a person really does possess such talents. Autotune isn't allowed on such contests. Sure, some vocal tricks here and there, but not autotune. Diana said herself there was a part of this song where they did an effect at the end of one of the lines, like a semi-yodel, but that was all. She has tons of acapella stuff for her naysayers.

That is her voice not auto tune, you do not have to take my word for it, there are hundreds of videos for you to watch (acapela even) and confirm this by your self. There is a video where she sings this very song on a cruise ship and it sounds the same. She will change your way of thinking about what a human voice can do, just keep listening.

Innanzitutto la questione dell'utilizzo di Auto-Tune durante questa performance. Ci sono molti che non sanno che Diana Ankudinova è anche una maestra nell'usare una tecnica vocale nota come canto polifonico che è un risultato straordinario per qualcuno così giovane. Un cantante che ha imparato questa tecnica di canto polifonico può creare uno, e talvolta due, toni diversi allo stesso tempo che si aggiungono alle sfumature e alle sfumature armoniche che possono farlo suonare come più di una voce che canta, il che fa sì che molti credano erroneamente che sia utilizzando Auto-Tune quando non lo è.
