Diana has lived in a poor but loving family ever since. Since she was lagging in her speech development and even stuttered, she received singing lessons on the advice of a doctor. In 2012, the family moved thousands of kilometers away, to Togliatti, because Diana did not let go of the fear, that the woman, who gave her birth, would take her away. Diana's voice and sense of rhythm were extraordinary even as a child and she won over 50 competitions in Togliatti and the surrounding area. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop, and Diana's stage costumes swallowed up the family budget. So, her mother completed a sewing course and has been sewing all the clothes herself since then. One day Diana was advised to take part in competitions further away, so that the other children also had a chance to win. Diana convinced with her talent and her voice in numerous national and international competitions, the Chinese competition for young artists and the competition. Thank you for your reaction to Diana Ankudinova. Diana actually turned 17 on 31st May 2020, but was 15 at the time of this performance. The show she is on here is Ты супер! (translated as "You are Super") and it is for children who have found themselves without parental care at some point in life. According to the programme, Diana was abused by her biological mother until around the age of 3 years, and ended up in an orphanage. While there, a massage nurse named Irina Ponik took care of her, and a strong bond was formed, to the extent that a year afterward Diana was adopted by Irina, and Irina has been her "Mom" ever since. It seems that for the first year or so Diana would hardly speak, and singing lessons were recommended, and the rest is history. Diana is now with a loving family, and her music training goes from strength to strength. Since winning the show, she has received much support from Igor Krutoy, - the bald guy who pressed his button last - who was on the judges panel the previous year, and who is one of Russia's foremost composers and song writers. You will undoubtedly see him play piano for Dimash when you get to some more of his performances. Diana's cover of "Rechenka" a Russian folk song, on the same show in 2018 is something else, and very much worth watching. There is so much for you to discover. She is a natural in every regard as a complete performer. She has had that stellar quality since the age of 5. Here's more information: Diana, with her voice, can make any song her own, not like the original. If you look at the songs that she has sung, then apart from the "Wicked Game", this is in the order of the time they were performed (not to mention the songs that Diana sang at the age of under 14). She has a tremendous survival story starting with being beaten severely by her birth mother (an alcoholic) and thrown out into the street at the age of 3 or 4 with a broken collarbone. She was placed in an orphanage where she was eventually adopted by a physical therapist. Her adoptive mother got her singing lessons hoping this would help her regain her ability the speak, Diana took off with the singing lessons and first appeared on the Russian TV show, "You're Super" for disadvantaged and abused kids, at the age of 13. She won the contest for the next two years, and is now being sponsored by Igor Krutoy, a major mover and shaker in the Russian music industry. Igor also composes and plays piano for Dimash. It is about a young woman in Paris, lonely, lost, has great lovesickness and dances with the rain and wind. Diana was born May 2003. 31 in Arsenyev in the Far East Russia. She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman, who gave her birth, had 12 pregnancies, only Diana survived... and she did not want Diana either, mistreated her severely and tried to drown her. Relatives found the girl with a broken collarbone on the street and took the 3-year-old girl to a children's home shortly thereafter. Only then did she find love ... from Irina Ponik. She worked as a massage therapist and treated children from the orphanage. One thing I've always loved about this performance and Diana in general is that she doesn't react in any way, shape or form to the judges hitting their buttons. Not even a smile or a glance. She's just *there*, performing her song, and the rest of the world doesn't exist in those moments.
