The opening jam at the beginning of this was awesome.

Dude this lesson is INCREDIBLE!!! I cannot wait to look at your channel more - I'm specifically trying to learn jerry-style tips and tricks. I've been wanting someone to help with solos forever. Please keep posting how to do those solo fills! Thanks so much friend! (~);}

Hi Ryan! Thanks for sending the vibes my way. I plan on tackling the rest of the songs solos NFN too. So there should be a second solo, and then the stuff from GDTRFB as well to contend with...it’s a lot, but it’s some of my favorite JG.

Jack, I SAW HIM PLAY THAT GUITAR AT FILLMORE EAST...IT WAS AN OUT FRONT HUMBUCKER...that tone is still seared in my head...it looked like a les paul custom neck and headstock...i thought the body looked like the Paul Mccartney bass but was since corrected.

Welcome aboard! Thank you for the kind words😊 Thanks for checking it out my friend...I hope you find the lessons helpful, fun and relatively straightforward. I’m actually pretty shocked at the poor online instruction often provided for the Dead’s music. Though it may be well meaning, it’s often inaccurate and poorly played by the teachers! I hope to fill a need: informal but high level instruction for this music and it’s approach. Suggestions are always welcome🍄👍✌🏻🌹 See you again soon! Jack

I’m gonna make sure all my deadhead buddies give your channel a look! Your lessons are superb! Also could you look into the uncle johns band from winterland 1974...I’ve been having trouble deciphering what Jerry’s doing. Also you should look into making a patreon page your lessons are just too good man :)

Hi Isaiah, Thank you for the kind words🍄✌🏻🌹💀 Which date?...I see more than one. If anyone wants to PayPal me a contribution, that’s fine... but not really why I do this. Jack_devine@hotmail.com Back to UJB. I think it’s G Major all day until the outro jam which is D minor and in 7/8.

@@gregspradling1495 Ahh…it’s fun to learn and share this stuff. I wish I had more time. If you dig this, poke around the channel, lots of Dead tunes. Some note for note of the recordings, others are my own takes on this music, some are more broad based, conceptual lessons. Either way… I hope you’ll stick around and maybe consider subscribing.

What are you playing, E Dorian?
@jacksnax4guitar4603 жыл бұрын
Mostly major pentatonics…Mixolydian and blues sprinkled on top.
@bzfgt13 жыл бұрын
@@jacksnax4guitar460 Thanks. I usually play this in either E dorian or blues scale, and E mixolydian (Garcia does both at various times) although switching between the two always sounds jarring....
