But again this performance was in MARCH 1974, 5 months (not 6...my mistake) BEFORE he turned 16. He was 15 1/2 here. He was not 16 for the entire year of 1974, only for the last four months of it AFTER his birthday.

@locknn911 He actually had a lot of rasp as a child. Ppl believe his voice sounded light, yet he sounded grown with rasp when he yelled on the mic as a child. That damaged his vocal chords. Similar to young ppl body building too early. Them wearing out his vocals as a youngster is what caused his signature singing style though. Very much vibrato and trembles. It's most likely why he could go high with the "He - he's" and other expressions at the drop if a dime and voice never cracked when doing so even in old age.
