This is where I found Mateus Asato for the first time. Great playing, hooked instantly

Your style is to me like nothing I've heard from the zillions of idiots who are trying to compete in this circus of tone. SIR... You are a GUITAR GENIUS and I SALUTE YOU!!!
@@wimslide I mean Stevie is great but he doesn't do the crazy tapping, vibrato, or melodic passages that Mateus does. He has just had more artists and styles to pull from than Stevie ever did. Really amazing songwriter with a fantastic touch and ear.

Watching his strumming hand move so fluidly, yet strike each string with perfect voicing. Wish I could play close to his talent.

This guy is quickly becoming an influence on this slightly older player here. His melodic double stops and inversions, and the lead lines, are starting to make their way into my own playing.

It's like there's someone in the background changing all the settings as he plays. He gets so many sounds just through his hands. Absolutely mastery.
@MintStiles2 жыл бұрын
I believe the point was in fact to demonstrate the pedal on the transparent setting can be touch sensitive to playing dynamic - ie. That you don't need a sound engineering tweeking away. TBH I think other boosts can do dynamic better, but this one is just so versatile to not have. Yes I have one of these. Yes it's on my board. No it's not the master of one. It's just really good at many things enough so to only use this. No, you likely won't sound good with an amp that doesn't have a strong tube overdrive channel.

Damn, So tasty! Your a true inspiration brother. I read comments all the time saying that people give up the guitar after hearing/watching you play and I dont get it... your playing does the exact opposite for me. Every time I hear you play it makes me want to play more and practice trying to replicate what your playing. Im not even close but I can tell you that when I do try to play what you do it makes my playing much more dynamic and gives me more motivation to continue to grow as a musician/guitarist. Ive been playing for almost 3 years now, everyday, I've become obsessed with it. Also, I picked up both Jackson audio pedals, Prism and Bloom, and they are phenomenal! Keep up the great playing and videos and thanks for all that you do for us guitarist's. You are a true Inspiration!

This pedal basically replaced all my drive pedals if I am running into a tube amp. It just so good and controllable while still remaining simple. You get to keep most of the dynamic. The controls are well thought out. There are other great boosts, but this one also has the advantage of being versatile.

Matt Kelaart There is almost always a Big Sky reverb in the mix. Seems to be a favorite of his. $500 or $600 for it so I'd play with it too. Thing he has a Suhr amp (sponsor deal I think).
@mattyk1127 жыл бұрын
the suhr head in the background do you think?
@SoopKan7 жыл бұрын
That's actually a Suhr Reactive Load in the background. The amp he seems to prefer these days is the Suhr Bella. That's what it sounds like to me.
@BeefNEggs0577 жыл бұрын
Matt Kelaart Oh yeah. Haha. Didn't see that actually but was mostly listening half asleep in my defense. He used to play Bogner amps looks like in his old videos and he got a similar sound. Recently discovered Mateus and wow. A little all over the place with his originals but amazing nonetheless.

Can people demoing the Prism stop drastically changing their attack when they engage the effect? You can see he's tucking the pick into his hand post effect then goes for this fat buttery riff with the pick as soon as he engages. It's not really fair for people that thing the pedal is doing all of the work. Kinda low.
@kishannadesh4207 жыл бұрын
The pedal isn't doing all the work. The point is to showcase a pedal that is extremely touch responsive, players like Mateus(whose playing is extremely dynamic)bring out the pedal's full potential. The pedal on it's own won't get you playing or sounding exactly like this.
