Now if they could only replace the hip pads because their standard ones are aweful.

80 bucks seems steep though, probably try and do something to my antix with foam.. thigh hooks are my only complaint about the boat so far

After not getting along with the stock thigh hooks and the thigh hookers in my Firecracker 252, I ordered a set of these and installed them. WOW! Lets me set the knee width I want...especially considering higher, narrower fit of the Pyranhas.

I really liked these things but to me worth about 35$ I feel can make foam and foam and it and be very close to these

So I just put these in my antix 2.0. Such a pain to replace but I got it done. However, my only problem is they should have made the Velcro strip on the bigger part wider. If you run these straight down the middle, they tend to dig into your knee/thigh area. If you angle them though, they fit a lot more comfortably, the problem with that is, that if you angle them, they don’t cover full Velcro to Velcro. Not sure what the longevity will be but another concern is do they sell the thigh hooks separately or do you have to buy the whole kit again? Good concept but I think there’s some things they could still do to make these a little better.

Good feedback and yes I agree they have not been out long enough to really see how long they will last I did see they come standard I’m the rock star 5
@macfawlty2 жыл бұрын
I just installed them in LL Alpha 75 and agree that they dig in a bit until you angle them. It's a pretty large velcro area, enough to stay in place even with even a small part of it attached. Seat or footrest adjustments might be necessary to get in the most comfortable position.
@macfawlty2 жыл бұрын
I wasn't sure these could be installed in my LiquidLogic Alpha 75. I slip out of the LL stock braces sometimes. I can report they fit in easily. 15 minute job. They tack on fitting just under the foot rest adjustment bar. As a beater starting my 2nd year in WW, this will help greatly to feel locked in for a consistent roll. Just remember to remove the existing neoprene pads on the hull and thigh braces.
@WadeHarrison2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’m thinking these will fit about any kayak with a little effort
@macfawlty2 жыл бұрын
@Wade Harrison It just depends on whether there's any hardware/outfitting in the way and how the top of the thigh pad fits under your existing braces. I like how you can move the hook pad around a lot and still maintain good contact with the velcro. Novices to experts would welcome this outfitting upgrade.

Interesting! How did it turn out? Did you remove the Pyranha knee pad that comes attached to the thigh hook and then put the bees knees pad right against the thigh hook? I have hookers and custom 2” foam blocks in my Scorch, which turned out so nice, but I’m contemplating solutions for my Ozone bc my knee hits the very edge of the pad and it sucks. I can’t understand why they make that damn knee pad so small. 😤
@joela66353 жыл бұрын
Yea I removed all the foam and knee pads from the thigh hook and just stuck em to the thigh hooks they work great I was even able to get the screws into them… it just took a while to get the glue and foam out.
