Two things I like. Lower weight and shorter length. Easy to carry and fit diagonally out of sight in a 6.5 truck bed.

Very valid points! This boat is so light its like carrying a playboat. and the shorter tail is way easier to get down on shallow eddylines.

I have one and I'm finding some little things here and there. One that is quite ""handy"" is a grab handle like a strap that can be access from one side or the other inside the front pillar. When you have the boat on the shoulder, just get your hand about 4 inches from the back of the front pillar and in the center and you will find a nice strap handle perfectly place to have a good hold on the boat. It's a lot easier to carry the boat now that I know that strap location. The other things is 2 ''beer holder'' or else (thermos...whatever you want to bring for a drink...). They are just behind each hip pad. There is a semi-circular shape in the roto moulded frame behind the hip pad just the right shape.The inside wall of the boat complete the cavity. It's sqeeze a bootle or beer can really well. I have ask around and people mostly put their beer can there...Really convenient.

Yeah I try to mention that wall carry strap I forgot about it a lot times just use it and don’t think about it but do notice it’s missing when I’m paddling others boats

I like the review. I like that you can talk freely about it and the rewind. I like the comparisons, It would also make a difference if you were able to run the 2.0 for a couple of weeks and then reevaluate the comparison. Can't wait to try one myself, sadly we probably won't see one here in Utah until the 3.0 comes out. ha ha

Hey Wade, I tried the Large Antix 1.0 and found it was a beast to roll. How does the Antix 2.0 roll compared to the Rewind and Ripper? I have no issues rolling the Large Rewind.

Oh the rolls on the ripper 2 and rewind is noticeably easier because the volume is spread out

Nice review! Is this a good boat for a beginner to learn technique? I have a Zet Toro (love it) and am looking for a downriver playboat to improve my surfing/form. I'm 5'8" with 30" inseam, and couldn't fit in a Medium Pyranha Loki (spent an entire day adjusting the outfitting). After that experience, I'm trying to see what kind of boat I can become a better boater in while feeling comfortable enough to want to be in the boat. So I was considering this Antix, a Pyranha Ozone, or a Dagger Super Nova

For sure a HalfSlice is the perfect upgrade to sharpen the skills up ripper 2 Antix 2 are the top 2 for that the Antix 2 is more playful Al round the ripper 2 best down river play out there

Hello Wade I recently made a comment about sizing in one of your Scorch reviews. In this vid you do not tell which size the Antix has you test. For the Antix 2.0, which do you think fits better to a 182lbs intermediate paddler doing class 3 to max. 4+ runs mostly with lower water levels ?
@WadeHarrison3 жыл бұрын
Title Reworded and it was a Medium Antix 2.0

Thanks for the review. Just starting out and I am buying a Pyranha Fusion. I am a little concerned when I do get a true whitewater boat about finding one that fits. I am 6'3". Are there many out there that will fit tall people?

im 6'2" and i fit great in a fluid nemesis medium. i'm pretty skinny (175lbs) and i practice yoga frequently so im bendy. the large has an extra 2" of length. i think you'll be able to fit in a lot of "large" boats.

I just bought a medium Antix 2, but haven’t picked it up yet. Any idea what flotation would fit in each end?

I would do the short air bags by harmony they are by far the best. I had the same ones for like 10years. Here’s a link amzn.to/3R9G5fv I did have some Nrs ones that are cheaper but they are like drastically different in quality between these trust me. Those NRS I have patched like 4 times now.
@macfawlty2 жыл бұрын
@@WadeHarrison Have the harmony in my Alpha and they’re better than the NRS. Another question for ya… does ANYONE but a small child use the foam blocks in the bulkhead? I got in it, pushed the bulkhead as far as I could and my knees were still in my chest. I’m only 5’7” w/ a 29” inseam. The Medium Antix makes the Alpha seem like a Hummer. I tried cutting the edges to go further forward, still no. I considered cross-cutting it thinner, but even with no foam and the seat back one notch, I’m still pretty much maxxed out. On the plus side, I did get an hour of paddling before darkness and the Antix 2 is SOOO much more agile than the Alpha 75, which for me as a 2nd year paddler has been more challenging to maneuver and roll. When I got the Alpha in spring of 2021, I felt lucky to find ANYTHING recent gen.

Do you like it better than the Rewind?
@WadeHarrison4 жыл бұрын
Well it’s slightly more playful but I think the rewinds edges it out on the river running/creeking I would say is Jsckson antix 2.0 is play/river runner and the dagger rewind river runner/play if that makes any since. The edges on the antix are sharp and seem to hang up on rocks at times. The Rewind flows really good on the edge to edge river moves which gives it a more refined feeling paddling down river. The Tails on both boats are very nice for throwing around.Antix is shorter and easier.
