Love watching the lady in the audience singing along. This is what it's all about. That magical connection.

I think she is projecting her voice more than he is. The sound man really needed to compensate and up his volume a bit.

Must be interesting feeling to see people sing songs/lyrics you wrote.

Danny I'm so glad you pointed that out so I was looking for it. And I totally agree with you. DEF a magical connection! Jackson has such a special and unique connection with his fans. That lady's face looked radiant! 😊

I was fortunate to finally see Jackson Browne in concert 3 times in the last 3 years, last one in May with my husband and 2 adult sons at the Beacon Theater in NYC, priceless time!

The lyrics are a masterpiece. "...when you see through love's illusions, there lies the danger , And your perfect lover just looks like a perfect fool So you go running off in search of a perfect stranger While the loneliness seems to spring from your life Like a fountain from a pool "

I saw him play this song 3 months later in Indianapolis. I was on a business trip and when this song came on I called my wife on my cell phone and let her listen. What a night. First time I'd ever seen him. I just happened upon the concert by pure accident. Long live JB!

How is it that this man hasn't aged at all and his voice has not changed? Best line-"Now for you and me it may not be that hard to reach our dreams but that magic feeling never seems to last; and while the future's there for anyone to change still you know it seems it would be easier sometimes to change the past" So True. I dedicate this to my old love. Rest in Peace BWK & Happy 64th birthday.

I think the best line is "when you look through love's illusions there lies the danger, because your perfect lover just looks like a perfect fool"!!

They’re both great. I’m going to have my 32 yr old son really listen to this song. He needs the advice! I saw Jackson Browne in concert many times, twice while pregnant with this son of mine, who’s named Jackson🥰

Interestingly, the person who is the subject of the song most vehemently disagrees with the „great person“.

Looking through some photographs I found inside a drawer I was taken by a photograph of you There were one or two I know that you would have liked a little more But they didn't show your spirit quite as true You were turning 'round to see who was behind you And I took your childish laughter by surprise And at the moment that my camera happened to find you There was just a trace of sorrow in your eyes Now the things that I remember seem so distant and so small Though it hasn't really been that long a time What I was seeing wasn't what was happening at all Although for a while, our path did seem to climb But when you see through love's illusions, there lies the danger And your perfect lover just looks like a perfect fool So you go running off in search of a perfect stranger While the loneliness seems to spring from your life Like a fountain from a pool Fountain of sorrow, fountain of light You've known that hollow sound of your own steps in flight You've had to hide sometimes, but now you're all right And it's good to see your smiling face tonight Now for you and me it may not be that hard to reach our dreams But that magic feeling never seems to last And while the future's there for anyone to change, still you know it seems It would be easier sometimes to change the past I'm just one or two years and a couple of changes behind you In my lessons at love's pain and heartache school Where if you feel too free and you need something to remind you There's this loneliness springing up from your life Like a fountain from a pool Fountain of sorrow, fountain of light You've known that hollow sound of your own steps in flight You've had to hide sometimes but now you're all right And it's good to see your smiling face tonight Fountain of sorrow, fountain of light You've known that hollow sound of your own steps in flight You've had to struggle, you've had to fight To keep understanding and compassion in sight You could be laughing at me, you've got the right But you go on smiling so clear and so bright

Just think how wonderful and pure this music would be if Jackson wasn't a political hack activist. There's still time. Hopefully he will renounce the divisiveness he caused and focus on his art again.

A word of advice. I wouldn't go throwing such accusations around in front of Jackson. He always denied it, was never proven, and she withdrew the accusation when she was threatened with a lawsuit.

Very scary to say things of which you DONT KNOW!!! She LIED SHE ADMITTED SHE TWISTED THINGS ! He on the other hand has too much class then to throw stones and put DIRTY laundry out! We are all imperfect sinners relationships challenging to say the least she broke his heart as evidenced by his album IM ALIVE!!! Incredible heartbreaking album full of live hope sorrow regret all over f it! No right to Judge him here like this my brother and if you do--AT LEAST BE RIGHT!!!
