Here's Art on the hoof; "I was taken by a photograph of you." Usually, WE take the photograph, not the photograph 'takes' US. Genius word-play. And then all the rest.

Fountain of Sorrow is one of my favorite songs of all time. You’re exactly right he paints such beautiful and detailed pictures with his lyrics. Jackson knows how to write the perfect music to accompany his amazing lyrics about self-discovery and introspection. He is definitely one of the best lyricists and I’m happy that you’ve discovered this amazing talent whose lyrics brings such wonderful insights on the human condition. "I'm just one or two years and a couple of changes behind you. In my lessons at love's pain and heartache school" is just one example of his insightful and self-aware writing in this song.

I'm crying. Jackson Browne does this to me. Everyone is born with a little sadness or sorrow, qrobably for leaving our paradise of the womb, and entering in a world of chaos. However, we learn to smile through the sorrow. Thanks guys for the reaction!🙏 💋

Beautiful reaction, you guys. ❤ I'm 72, and I've been an enormous fan of Jackson Browne's since first hearing his remarkable voice and spine-tingling lyrics. "Rock Me On The Water" hit the radio, and I became a lifetime fan and devotee. I would encourage you to give it a listen.

"Late for the Sky" is my favorite album of all time. It's almost 50 years old and I still listen to it when I'm in a melancholy mood. My other favorite songs from this album are For A Dancer, The Late Show, Farther On, Before the Deluge. The last line from For A Dancer is one of my favorites, "from the time you arrive until the time that you go may lie a reason that you are alive that you will never know."

One of the Great singer-songwriter-poets of a generation. Check out "Running On Empty" by him... a classic. And "Doctor my Eyes" another classic that helped cement his status at a very early age as one of the best lyricists in Rock. I recommend choosing the lyrics versions preferably. It gives the words that much more impact.

Andrei and Dominika, I love how you both are willing to explore the wide range of emotions in music. Fountain of Sorrow sounds like a bummer of a song at first, but a glimpse of sorrow in a photograph is replaced in the long run by the sincerity and reassurance of a smile. Sad songs can help me put life in perspective by knowing you're not the only one in the world who has been stuck under a dark cloud every once in awhile. Both sad and happy songs add balance and empathy to our emotional awareness.

You two are WONDERFUL to watch and listen to. And it's so cool that you've discovered Jackson Browne. I've been a fan and listener of his music since he released his first record in 1970, entitled simply, "Jackson Browne," but often misunderstood to be named "Saturate Before Using." "Late for the Sky" is a masterpiece, and the rest of his catalogue is beyond impressive. May I suggest, "Rock Me On the Water," "Doctor My Eyes" and "My Opening Farewell" from his first record? He is without a doubt the most gifted lyricist of his generation, and it's great to see the two of you experiencing his music together for the first time.

Was lying on a beach on the south west coast of Scotland in May of 1976 (the year of the long hot summer), with my then girlfriend Eleanor, when I first heard Fountain of Sorrow and the rest of the Late For the Sky album. Had an unforgettable effect on me. Have seen him live many times since December 1976 in Glasgow and Edinburgh. One of the finest lyricists I've ever heard. Apparently FoS was written with Joni Mitchell in mind.

Fantastic, also the relaxed guitar solo and of course JB on the piano.. My favorites FOR A Dancer, BEFORE THE DELUGE (violin!!!) and THE LAST SHOW are still missing from this great album. Keep going! The whole album is great; all of it. My favorite on here is probably "Farther On", but I don't think that's one that's usually called out. And I'm pretty sure I'm hearing things he didn't actually intend. His songs always sound to me like a story that I'm in, though not always the protagonist. He writes about what it *feels* like to be human. BTW, you should surely check out Gene Clarke's albums "White Light" and, especially, "No Other". These are among my favorites for very similar reasons.

As much as I love Jackson Browne's melancholy lyrics, for some reason they keep suggesting all his saddest songs for you to react to. Why not go back to his earlier songs like 'Take It Easy' or 'Doctor My Eyes'. However the opening lines in this song are among my favorites of all time. "Looking through some photographs I found in a drawer, I was taken by a photograph of you." It's hard to think of a line that sets up the irony in a song better than that. I could also suggest one of my favorites 'In the Shape Of A Heart.'

Please please please react to - Sky Blue and Black. I am certain it will touch your hearts. Shape Of A Heart is also an emotional song. To Dominika's point about him being right there next to her, I've been to his concerts and he has interaction with the audience all the time. There's a video out here of him playing Freebird because someone in the audience yelled it out. Hilarious. He did it quite well too.
