I can't wait to see him do this tonight in Duluth Georgia. I was eleven when this song came out, I remember buying it on 45 rpm.

I will take the original band ...even today in their '70's. Danny Kortchmar Guitar, Lee Sklar Bass, Russ Kunkel Drums, Craig Doerge Keyboards, David Lindley Lap Steel with Rosemary Butler and Doug Haywood on back up vocals. Later on Bob Glaub (who is playing bass here) played bass instead of Lee Sklar. Besides being great musicians, they played with feeling and soul..not sanitized performances BTW get the country sounding lap steel and lead guitar out of here! Wrong choice of musicians JB!

The original version was live as well but no public video has surfaced...kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3zRn5tui6mIgtU Another version at No Nukes Concert 1979 JB played lead guitar Kortchmar and Sklar were both playing with James Taylor this concert although Russ Kunkle did double duty on drums playing with both Jackson Browne and James Taylor.. Bob Glaub on Bass. Billy Payne on organ. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn_QepWJp8pqitk

I was there on 08 01 21 and I was there in 1978 when he was touring to support Running on empty. I agree there is no comparison to the original band.

Are you a player or just a complainer?
@kendebeer60803 жыл бұрын
Both. The lead guitar and lap can definitely play but their sound doesn't fit the music. Good guys but the wrong guys.
