Great video ! No music, no one talking in the background, just the normal sound of driving around. Perfect time of the day and then night. The colors of the sky are amazing out there. You should go sometime. Right there in that region you have a top shelf ski resort town in Jackson (it's also wonderful in summer), Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. The sheer beauty of the region is on grand scale. And Yellowstone is the type of place that should be seen in person at least once by everyone. It's spectacular.

12:26 … those critters on the left in the pasture… their Elk in one of the largest Elk feed grounds in the US, National Elk Refuge. My friend & I would draw elk tags just to go ride our horses up in that area, just breathtaking. We worked the nightshift at the hospital, staff employees parked in the back next to a helo- pad and the back fence of the Refuge. In the mornings at just braking dawn you could hear the bull elk bugling and the calves & cows squeaking and yes it was a magical, I’d breathe in that fresh cold air every morning knowing this wouldn’t last forever for me. ( had to make that memory)loved it.

If you're not rich all you can afford to do there is drive through, there are plenty of places in Wyoming to see besides this place and you don't have to put up with the snooty population. You want to see the real Wyoming don't go to Jackson.

@@brianlindley846 This is my real Wyoming, I live and work for the National Park Service at Old Faithful year round and Jackson is my best door neighbor as is Cody, West Yellowstone and Gardiner Montana. Yes the money is big in some of these locations, but the attitudes are not, mostly the attitudes are from the vacationers not the residents.

@Soohyun Lee oh no no no this doesn’t represent Wyoming at all, that state is known for having a lot of land and not that many people this and Cheyenne would be only 2 “busy” areas in whole state look up Cody, Pinedale, Casper and look up all nature you can see there so much empty and peaceful land this is just a small town that was invaded by super wealthy

@@Dangic23 I lived in Wyoming for a couple of years for work. Yes I would agree that much of the state is very desolate and really not much to write home about, however, the Grand Teton/Yellowstone region is spectacular. The Wind River range region is also very beautiful.

After years of talking about it my Wife and my Kids, oh! yea, and I headed out to Yellowstone in July of 2020. Driving into Jackson Hole was so awesome. I am getting goosebumps watching this video having memories of our trip. Now I want to visit during winter- It is magical.

I truly enjoyed your drive through Grand Teton and through Jackson. My family and I started coming up in the early 1950s and came up twice a year really up until just a few years ago it's a great place and I was glad to see it in winter it brought back many memories I could kind of follow along where you were driving I've driven those roads so much keep up the good work I enjoy your travel videos

Been through in November 2022. Just a bunch of overpriced restaurants and t shirt shops and tricket stores. Drove to Jackson Hole from Lander, Wyoming. Gorgeous drive with the sun rising up over snow covered hills and fields. Drove near the Grand Tetons on the highway to and from Jackson Hole. Drove west from JH towards Idaho Falls. Leaving JH westbound leads to some steep mountain passes. 10% grade with sharp switch backs; white knuckle drive in snowy conditions.

I love this video. One of the best Winter drives. Since there isn't much sound, I watch this video a lot with Christmas music in the background (2020 Christmas Show - The Petersen's). It just makes me nostalgic for the snow, I miss it. Living in Florida but grew up in New York. Jackson Hole is definitely on my bucket list. God Bless!!

Go there a couple times/yr. use to be affordable place to buy and live, but not anymore. Poor folks that work in town are living with 4 or 5 other people to make ends meet. A lot of young outdoorsy folks use to move there for activities but now spend most of their time working for rent. Soon we may have to create nice towns like this that have limits on rich people. 😀 Jacking up COL is sad for people that just want to enjoy the outdoors.

*Locals?* The same thing happened in Aspen, working locals live in cheap apartments, trailer parks outside of town. I've skied there many times, but usually stayed outside of town in Basalt, Glenwood Springs or Carbondale. The Jackson Hole permanent residents should ban together and push for rent control.

Every once in a while, I like to watch the old Clint Eastwood movie, Any Which Way You Can, to remind myself what Jackson, WY was like before it became the billionaire's hangout. Jackson used to have two "down" seasons each year: between Summer and Skiing seasons, and again between the end of Skiing season and Summer. I remember when it was hard to get a motel there during those down seasons...most were closed. Nice place back in the day, when there were still Jackson natives living there.

@Chris Miller yeah.. and Jackson has some of the best community programs like public health, 22housing, vouchers for pet owners expenses, not to mention the cities PUBLIC school is some of the best in the country..don’t forget about the ANNHATHWAY SCHOLARSHIP..our own stem classrooms... I mean don’t get me wrong yes we are crammed but this is a tourist town.. the fact that Jackson is blue isn’t why the working class can’t afford to live here it’s because we are a TOURIST SKI TOWN.
