Death Valley, really remote place. Image being a Borax miner in the late 1800s? Back then it must have felt like taking a trip to the moon!!!🤔🤔🤔🤔

It blows my mind some of the places people lived, the harshness of everyday life must have been ridiculous compared to what we have today.

Fantastic! I'm driving from Austin TX to the deserts of California next week and would much rather take a route like this! I guess it is time to start figuring something out.

A few John Wayne westerns and a two part Bonanza episode were filmed in the Alabama hills, why the hills got that name I don’t know.🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

First time I heard of Alabama hills.

It was the scene of many Hollywood movies. There was a quick scene in the movie Gladiator filmed here. Look for the scene where Maximus is riding back to save his family. You will see these mountains in the background.

So much free camping out in Alabama hills. Awesome for naked camping, hiking.... Well... There's not, create your own nude hiking adventure and trails

It's a lot busier and now more restricted due to so many people trashing our beautiful natural areas. Sadly.

It does! It's kind of bizarre. I like that you can see the different aged mountains. The jagged new ones at the back and the old weathered rounded ones of Alabama Hills.
