Jackson Kayak Nirvana vs Zen 3

After a few years paddling the Nirvana, I picked up my new Z3 right before catching a flight to Chile. It was the final pre-production Zen 3 Medium and I paddled it nearly every day until I traveled back to the states and picked up my Z3 Small. If you've been wondering which one is right for you or what exactly is the deal with the new Z3, I made this quick edit to help. Regardless of which size or design you go with, remember that both need a backed up seat position. One notch if you're mid range, two notches back if you're heavy in them... Hope this helps!

5’8” 150…with a shoe size of 8.5. So we are similar sized. I’m trying to dial in the seat positioning on the Zen 3 Medium. Where do you prefer to put the lock bolt for seat out of the 4 slots available?

would you throw the nirvana seat back a notch even if you are on the light side? I'm 145-148IBs depending on the day. I have mine in the center as of now.
