Ok JSU, awesome season opener! I normally read some of the comments, before watching a video. I didn't this time, because I wanted to give my unbiased opinion! Man that "Doing Just Fine" by Boyz II Men @14:25 had me in damn tears! I mean that arrangement was so beautiful, and straight 🔥🔥! It took me back to so many wonderful memories in my past! Also loved how you guys drilled #SWAC! We all know #SWAC bands running things! The #Jsettes were amazing as usual! Just an all around awesome opener, and I can't wait to see what's in stored for future performances!. #LUVTHEEBOOM!

This is one of my top 3 favorite bands. I was there. The intro was nice. Good job Boom. However playing your signature song 3 times in one performance takes away from the showmanship and kreativity. They should've kicked their 8 to 5 drill with a different number. This show did not rock the krowd like I've seen them do before. I ran to the bathroom after their entrance. When I kame back, I realize I didn't miss much. There wasn't much krowd reaction. This was not a "main attraction " show. They sounded good though.

Rule #1 to HBCU bands: Never play the same song twice while on the field. They marched in to "Get Ready" and then used it in their first drill. Great look and sound but that's a definite point deduction!! That's the directors fault not the musicians. (and if y'all are going to let somebody walk on the field and film, at least give him a real camera and not a cell phone)

James Mapson it's tradition. They always enter to get ready. And perform it again during the field show. Usually you have two whole quarters of football in between but this is a band show

I liked the routine, but I think Under Pressure may not have been the best selection. I hope the directors can be a little more creative with the J-sette dance selections this season. Songs need to match the routine.

Phoeran Cameron it was a good first show. Good energy and it was clean. Sideline was also together. I rather them stay in their lane based upon what works for this particular squad at this moment than to try to do too much and look a mess. They Still were the best from get ready on. Hands down.

I agree with Phoeran. It was an "eight count" fieldshow for the J-Settes. It was clean and well executed. It will get better. The band sounded ok. These other bands hate the Boom and are going to come for you. You gotta bring that Boombastic show and sound every time.
