I listened to both media teams AMD the Roger Bros recording. TxSU came out strong with Maze, and it seemed like JSU didn't expect it. That "Be Prepared" caught me off guard. Scar and the hyenas would be proud! Faithful SBOTS fans will never admit defeat even by 1 point, although so may say it should have been by 2 or 3. I agree with Steve and give the win to TxSU. Pulling off Frankie, Disney, AND some Latino swag gives them the edge, IMO. Don't like it, argue with yo momma! 😂😂

I was at the game, even had the opportunity to hear both bands on the 50 before security started tripping. The video footage doesn't do the sound of both bands justice, like they sound loud, clean, with lots of artistic flair. TxSU just had more variety on the musical pallette, plus it's does help that crowd by TxSU was energized as well given that the football team sucked. The loud cheers on the Latin tune TxSU played was for the majorette captain, you have to watch the dancer view when they come out to fully grasp that vibe that was going on. On a side note, the stadium that TxSU plays at is a soccer stadium, in which the field is converted to a football field, which also explains why the bands looks sooo far away, they sound sooo powerful.

I just wish that both bands could sit directly across from each other JSU was way across the city limits and was pushing watts and in my opinion when it comes to 5th quarters i think the bands should be allowed to move and be directly across give it more edge let the media people who record stand on the field in the middle of both bands so they dont have to run back and forth #wishfulthinking

Well there you have it. Txsu came out the gate swingin and never stopped. Both bands sound great but Txsu song selection was best imo. That little latin number put the icing on the cake for me. Congrats to both bands for a good battle but the W goes to Txsu.

JSU media displayed a better sound for both bands and after watching their vid it’s what and what TXSU had some hiccups in a couple songs for sure with tempo on one and the last song the bones took the melody and butchered it cause they were thin as sliced bread and that run from JSU on if you was not good. TXSU def is taking it! Reminds me of TXSU 05-06 era! The battle really is a toss up IMO! I do believe JSU is missing an important piece they had last year! TRAVIS WYA!?

Master Steve Holiday, I noticed that you have been suffering from audio blocking in some videos recently. Wouldn't it be better to watch all the channels that broadcast the performances before you do your analysis, to see which one has the entire performance without blocking. For example, this song performed by Ocean Of Soul, which even without listening to the entire performance you gave a score of 05, was not a good performance, I saw and heard it without cuts on another channel and it didn't deserve that score, at most a 04!
