Jackson Tells Catherine He Wants to Take Over the Foundation - Grey's Anatomy

Jackson (Jesse Williams) tells his mother (guest star Debbie Allen) that he wants to move to Boston to take over the Foundation and make real, lasting change in medicine. The next morning, Jackson, April (guest star Sarah Drew) and Harriet have breakfast together while Jackson waits for April to decide if she will move to Boston so he doesn't have to leave Harriet behind. honestly for me, this is tied with cristina for best character exit. at least he's leaving with an actual purpose and reason, and his family will be with him. i'm gonna miss him a lot though, and it's so sad that meredith is the last one standing from her resident year 😭 that quote "everyone is leaving and everyone is dying" hits different now, she legit woke up to deluca dead and jackson leaving. now she's basically alone. i mean of course she has her kids and maggie and amelia and jo, and ig bailey, richard, and kinda hayes but she has no real close friends. i really think this is the last season. everyone is gone and it really feels like they're wrapping things up. there isn't even that much they can do with the plot now.

A ver si entiendo bien.. La trama mostraba que aún quedaba algo entre April y Jackson (siempre había un toque especial entre esos dos) peeeroo no, forzaron la historia de Jackson y Maggie (que por supuesto no duró porque no tenía ni pies ni cabeza). Después deciden sacar a April de la serie, por qué? Nadie sabe.. era un buen personaje y lo sacaron de la nada. Le inventan un seudo final feliz (volver con la persona a quien dejó en el altar??? Enserio??) y por ultimo: convierten a Jackson en una sombra en las últimas temporadas, un personaje apagado y de relleno que tenía potencial para mucho más pero quedo ahí, en un rincón casi olvidado. Y al final, como ya nada tenía sentido, sacan de la galera de vuelta a April (atención, no es una queja, yo la adoro) con una nueva separación de Matthew y sacan a Jackson dejándonos con la imaginación de que va rehacer su vida con April. Entonces mi pregunta es: POR QUE NO LES DIERON SU FINAL FELIZ CUANDO TENÍA TODO EL SENTIDO DEL MUNDO????!!!!! Por qué sacaron a April cuando su personaje estaba bien en la serie? Por qué apagaron a Jackson así? Para al final forzar está salida de esta manera??? Hubieran tenido una temporada llena de momentos Japril y salían juntos y felices!!!

As a nurse who has cared for many, many patients during this COVID pandemic, I found this scene to be a huge slap in the face to every medical professional who has given their blood, sweat, and tears to care for EVERY patient that comes to our hospital in need. NO ONE is turned away or left dying in the street due to their color or background. There are many uninsured patients that we took on and gave life-saving treatment to, regardless of ability to pay. This rhetoric is not true or helpful in any way.

He'll probably allocate funds from their worst ranking hospitals. Grey Sloane is the flagship hospital of the Catherine Fox Foundation so that's probably the one hospital he won't touch.

As a non-american I am very confused about the whole "white supremacy" thing. I can name a lot of black actors and artists that I really appreciate and they live and work in the USA. They are rich and successful. Aren't they also part of the elite, the "supremacy"? Why would the white successful people be more "supreme" than the black ones? And why is Jackson talking about the americans letting people die in the street just because they are black??? Can really someone be so mean as to let people die just because they have another race as your own??? Look at the white actors in the Grey's anatomy: I cannot imagine they would do such a thing. I cannot imagine most people in the world can do such a thing! Except some very few insane racists, but again, they cannot be so many as to influence a whole system let black people die, right? I must admit I cannot understand racism, too. It doesn't matter to me what color someones skin, hair or eyes have. It is much more important if they have a good heart or not, and kindness has absolutely nothing to do with the way we look like. Judging other people based on their race or appearance is nonsense to me. So the whole thing is making me very confused. Can someone please explain me what these concepts mean?
