Jackson has co-directed with Daniel before, and they work so well together, Daniel can perfectly execute Jackson's ideas. His MVs that Daniel was involved in are some of my favourites

I can’t lie, this is is probably one of the best music videos I’ve seen in a while. I can appreciate heavy CGI and overproduction, but this felt like a breath of fresh air. This had some crazy editing tricks nothing that wasn’t practical and sped up/tinkered with in post which is amazing to see now. I think Big CGI snakes and robot cameras have their place but I’d like to start seeing more highly choreographed theatrical things like this with choreography that’s meant to be done by dancers, not just the kind of kpop choreo that’s meant to be done while singing. This reminded me of Moulin rouge and as a theatre kid, that’s really cool!

Yes! I remember him talking about how everything was so tricky and spontaneous since shooting was so short and the smoke powder was limited. Jackson may be brilliant for producing it, but everybody was great in making his vision work. If they weren't be able to keep up, the end product wouldn't have been great!

For me, the best part in Blow are the cinematic frames... so American style, not only for the actors/dancers but for this idea of a Broadway musical. I like the costumes and effectively all the guys seem true models... really photogenic. But Jacks' visuals in this MV are 100 overload. And that grey hair, so 2022 style... Hollywood style. Of course his voice too is pleasant and surprising. I love it. Unfortunately... sorry to tell, but being absolutely against smoking, I still need time to understand better the lyrics. Yes, the song and MV are amazing. Let me try to explain the lyrics: He is using cigarettes as a metaphor for a toxic relationship. We all know cigarettes are bad for us, but if we're addicted to them, we can't quit even if we know they're bad for us - that's what he feels like being with this girl. He knows the girl is bad for him (toxic), but he can't leave her - one line goes "you pull me back every time I quit". Jackson doesn't smoke, so he is definitely not encouraging smoking. Wow. Not a fan normally, I’m only peripherally aware of what he’s done. But this music video is BRILLIANT. It’s dizzying, sexy but not overtly so, and really draws you in. I love the choreography, it’s like a celebration of motion, and people loving their own bodies and how they can move.
