I've had this guitar for over a year and yeah it quickly became my favorite floyd rose guitar. It's a cheap floyd but super responsive and stayed in tune. Fine tuners ain't the greatest. Fishman pickups are so metal.

Yes they’ve saved some money so they can get the very expensive Fishman in there haha ,I wanted to keep it ...it was sent just for the demo love the body shape I’d probably of put a Gotoh on there if I’d of kept it ,they are decent priced,it stayed in tune great with the stock Jackson Floyd, like you say the fine tuners aren’t smooth but we would of hit 1000 for the guitar so it’s a tough one

@@NinecoreNeil honestly that’s why I couldn’t buy anything else ahha I felt in love first sight..and guitar center exclusive def makes it harder to get from other stores ...I know they have newer model with a Jackson special nice gold trim just came out too but it’s the shape man ahha...any recommended tips or hardware I should get ...would be appreciated .eventually will put in new Floyd down the line but this is my first Floyd so going to use what I have..

@@JonathanGarcia-os4zz hi glad you like it ,the tone in this video is about as good as I’ve ever had in my channel it’s just the guitar with Fishman Fluence straight into the red channel ,I’m using the Two notes CaptorX with a stock Mesa clone cab 👍 there is another video of this head on here using a Harley Benton OD which is a different guitar the DK2.

How good will it stay in tune if you decided to do dimebag Darrell squeals?

I used it a lot for trem stuff and it held tuning but mine was set up by a genius at Jackson Guitars,the trems are cheaper than the floyd special but it’s the fine tuners where you notice it not really the stability.The fine tuners aren’t quite as smooth as Floyd specials,however the guitar itself and the rest of the hardware is great Fishman are really expensive pickups so putting a Floyd on would of put another 100 on the guitars value.

Guitar looks good...your playing is good. But I'm not so sure about the pickups. Think EMGs are still the winner. Have you tried Jackson's new active pickups by chance?

@@NinecoreNeil I bought a Jackson DKA-EX out of curiosity. I agree with you...there's a serious lack of aggression, sustain, and musical definition from the Moderns. I wonder if the lack of sustain is more from the Jackson FR though...

I’m really interested on your thoughts on these Neil as I know you are a Seymour Duncan man and now you are playing the bare knuckles.I’ve never had the chance to play bare knuckles and which would you say is better the bare knuckles or Fishmans ?

Well it depends which ones ,I like both I’m not a player that has one specific pickup choice at the moment.....I used to put Emg in everything when I used Peavey and Mesa amps,I do prefer Duncan’s and BKP with EVH amps I’m lucky because Jackson and Charvel use a lot of Duncan’s and for me the JB and Distortions are the type of pickups that work in any given guitar or amp.Now Bareknuckle are very sensitive to guitars but also because they are so clear they work well with EVH amps too. As far as the Fishman Fluence go I absolutely love the tone on this video and the guitar is amazing bythaway especially the shape of the top,which is based around the pro series DK modern.With pickups I find myself either liking or loathing so I can use multiple pickups.I really like the Wolfgangs too.Ive just got word that I’m getting sent a signature Pickup sent to me to try out from the artist himself which I can’t reveal yet.I should make a video about pickups really but you see I know guys that hate Emg because every little noise and clang comes out so for the scruffier players they don’t suit also light kickers tend to dislike them too

@@gazzaduce3424 put it this way I really want to keep this guitar quite bad but I have a ton of stuff on order ,quality is good it’s not quite Pro series DK but that’s where your money is going,so the trem on the DK2 are Floyd 1000 ect and probably some other materials aren’t as higher grade,it’s very sturdy and solid though I’d have no concerns gigging touring ect

Depends on my mood tbh ,the stealth is tightest,the El34 has a blue channel with like an 800/bassman sag ....the OG 5150iii mini 50 is very good also.There’s not masses of differences on Red channel it’s mainly the blues

I found the trem to stay in tune well but the fine tuners aren’t as good as the Special Floyd ,Fishman are hellish expensive pickups though so this may be the reason for JS hardware

Hey man, sick guitar! I'm thinking about ordering one soon. Question though! What tuning were you in? And also what string gauge were you using for it. I know Floyd's aren't typically great with down-tuning too far but I'm planning on being typically Drop C or Drop B. Anything you have on that or how to keep the Floyd stable with all of would be greatly appreciated!

Hey dude yeah I held onto this guitar as long as I could ,I really enjoyed it especially the DK modern body shape.Right so this Demo is Drop D and it was set up for me by Jackson Guitars,the string gauge is 46-10 some consider this light but I like a standard feel.Drop c I use 54-10 ,drop b I use a 60 seven string set and throw away the top E string 👍.It’s worth paying for a set up if you aren’t used to floyds bud

I got one in black on sale for $500 at GC I wanted the white one but that one was still set at $700 and they wouldn't give me the deal on the white one :(
