I love the idea of Loki being *canonically* quoted as saying, "Shuteth thee up, o' Odin!"

I think he has a video on it. Mainly it was an interest in language and how language evolves through time.

Does anyone know if Dr. Jackson Crawford Has made a video touching on whether or not the field of old north linguistics is flooded? I’m genuinely curious if there is a demand for it in any shape or form.

Could vett be more like the modern, meaning something like ‘common sense’ or ‘wit’? Then it might mean something like ‘striking away wit’ or ‘abandoning reason’? I’m curious now lolll.

Or from ‘dróttkvætt’ - courtly metre- which means Odin ‘struck a metre’? Perhaps a poetic chant?
