The Jets have been doing that for decades.

Everything you said, combined with organizational dysfunction of the Jets and a complete leadership vacuum which Woody and JD ASKED, BEGGED, PLEADED for Rodgers to fill. I am not against keeping him next year as a bridge QB, BUT the new regime needs to make it clear it's our way or you can retire, and anymore on field gestures showing up the coaching staff or teammates will not be tolerated. Do the Jets actually have an ""offensive scheme" ??. . . If you watch the Shanahan tree, those coaches have lineman moving multiple directions, receivers crossing, etc., and often the receivers are wide open . . . . With the Jets, their receivers are always covered, and it seems the Jets are checking out of plays and going with some Rogers audible . . . I know Tyrod Taylor was playing against backups at the end of the game, but at least he looked like he was executing the plays called by the O.C.
@petercofrancesco98123 күн бұрын
That's a major issue that under pins all of this. He wants to play my man (Devante) can beat your's and if he throws the perfect back shoulder fade you can't stop it. We saw a glimpse of this at the end of Jaguars game where Devante got 160 yards in a couple of drives at the end of the game. The problem is Devante has lost a step and Rodgers after the injury no longer has power, accuracy and mobility to pull off those difficult type of plays consistently. Rodgers has tried to over come his deficiencies with complicated pre snap adjustments and has unrealistic expectations of receivers being able to read his mind on how to adjust their routes to his liking. This has resulted with them never being on the same page. All of this goes back to handing over what should be a coaches job and allowing the QB design the offense and play calling.

Said this all year they’re scheme is shit. Watch any other teams and the routes are made to get each other open. With the jets everything is a tight squeeze. Cam Newton's career was destroyed when he refused to fall on a fumble, and rightly so, but you're excusing Rodgers doing the same thing as a "business decision." I was as socked as anyone whentheJets acquired Rodgers but it was unrealistic of me to think he could sustain an achilles injury and come back to being prime Rodgers in a year...Alos,,,he penchant for playing buddy ball with Devenate and Lazard over Wilson. means its time for him to go.. he has been playing poorly and i dont want to loose Wilson who has yet to scratch the surface of what he can be, the Kid is flashing legit superstar vibes.. ..can you imagine G5 with a QB like Josh Allen or Pat Mokolmes?

Stop defending Rogers! If his ego wasn't so big that he couldn't be bothered with mini camps and other preseason practices, he probably would have more of a rapport with his receivers and would be a little more successful. Instead, his ayahuasca fueled journey of self discovery will probably cost him what is left of his career and national respect.

You seem to be a victim of the media misinformation campaign vs Rodgers. Guy worked his ass off to return to the team with the Achilles injury and was with the team through the spring and summer with the lone exception being his Egyptian trip . For one week . He otherwise did more offseason work with his guys than he had at any time in his career.

I don't think you can overstate the importance of attitude and how you respond as a leader. You set the tone, that's part of the responsibility. Be that football, basketball or even the business world.

I wouldn't blame the Jets for moving on from Rodgers. But I also wouldn't be surprised if he found success at his next stop. That's certainly the pattern.

Rodgers is still good..., but he is saddled with teammates that don't understand. HE is the boss. Not the coach.

That first play where he yelled at the tight end was simply a case of Rodgers having zero awareness of how the play was developing. Any good point guard in basketball has the court awareness to see how a play is developing and anticipate where and how to get the ball to the open player. A good quarterback with any kind of field awareness would have completed that pass. Rodgers' brain is calcifying and he can only go with one static concept of where the ball should go.

Rodgers doesn't come close to a rookie. We have several starting here in Green Bay on the leagues youngest team. They play with an endless clock and non stop energy. They are ALL football. I watched Rodgers for his whole career, He started becoming a complicated ( and I try to stay positive here ) player years before he left. But, he still had the physical side going as the MVP's prove. He started talking about all sorts of non football stuff. He is smart, but just because you mastered the playbook in the NFL doesn't make you a know it all about all sorts of non football crap. Now he's still spewing this stuff again but the physical side is gone. Much like some politicians, HE is never to blame. The play where the WR was yelled at by #8 is a great example. It appears that the receiver may have done something wrong. Maybe. Old eight ball man can never admit HE messed up. So the guy who compared 8 to a rookie must not have rookies on his team like the ones we have here in Wisconsin. There is NOTHING to do in Green Bay except play football. Some dig it, others need the the non football stuff. Just ask our new running back Josh Jacobs about playing here vs for the Raiders ( wherever they play these days? ) -- it's ALL football. And he loves it. Thank you Woody Johnson -- for taking the complicated man away. Learn the hard way bud. Amen.

thing is about rodgers is he doesnt audible too often and when he does, hes not exactly great at it. i see often enough they will have a play ready, he switches it and it gets negative to no yards at all. with the amount of power that rodgers has.. we all know hes more than capable with his power to audible whenever he believes the play needs changing. that being said... what kind of leader doesnt change a play when he damn well knows it wont work? he did this in green bay too. everybody in the world knows when they will run it. the d line is stacked at the line and bunched up and he still runs it down the middle. ive seen it so many times with that specific scenario. he just sucks at audibling

Your point at the 2 minute mark of the video is a good one, and it’s amplified by the way he didn’t sell the play as a possible naked qb rollout like all good qb’s would. He handed it off and stood there with his arms at his side watching the RB…that’s BS, he should have turned his stance, handed off the ball and took off toward a sideline like it was a fake. Any brief moments of delay that freeze a linebacker can make the difference. Dan Marino was shitty at the run game as he got older, he used to hold the ball up super high and every defensive player could see what was clearly a handoff…it seemed like a desire to have the running game be mediocre so they’d pass all the time.

On the screen pass INT, Adams is also late off the snap, was scoping out where he was going to run to and missed it, and the RT taking the edge rusher up field, A collaboration of failure.

Rodgers arrogance thinking he is better than Brady and can play on when it’s clear he should’ve retired a long time ago.

Please, no more circus. Jets get the back page for all the wrong reasons Rogers was okay but value to his play as a 41 yr old vs the circus that comes with him is not worth it for a team that will not be truly competing next year.

Everyone here is missing the point I don't think you guys understand that would have been the five 100th touchdown career pass to a third screen tighten.He wanted it to go to devonte Adam's.He short armed it so he didn't catch it

Rodger’s should have been a golfer or tennis player team sports aren’t his jam and in tennis he would still be able to blame the chair umpire and line judges for any failures.
@JtotheDoubleL2 күн бұрын
Rodgers always has the excuse that his players didnt follow instructions exactly. Hey Rodgers, how about throwing the ball to the player down the field instead of making a shit throw and then blaming the receiver for not running the route properly. Mahomes would have just thrown the ball to his TE bc he was wide open for a touchdown but Rodgers cant even manage that. He would rather throw the ball short like a robot following protocols instead of throwing it 2 yards farther DIRECTLY TO the TE for a touchdown.

What do you mean "what went wrong?" The Bills are a top 3 team vs the Jets who are arguably one of the worst teams in NFL history. This game went exactly as expected. Also, Aaron Rodgers is no leader. He's a big infant that throws fits when anyone else makes a boo-boo. His teammates hate him. He's arrogant. These aren't the qualities of a leader.
