In Australia the cost of a belt tensioner assembly between~A$79.00 -A$150.00 depending on brand, cost of the idler pulley ~A$49.00 - A$58.00 . I just replaced both bearings 6203DUL1B (OD 40x ID 17x W 12mm) for a total of A$9.00ea. I checked and measured the bearing position in each component. The idler was pressed all the way in the tensioner was 4mm out from the rear outer outer face of the pulley. I warmed the pulleys and pressed out the old bearings, cleaned the bearing contact surfaces rewarmed the pulleys and applied some blue thread lock and pressed the new bearings in and saved a load of money.

Nah, I would rather save my money. I've always used autozone parts for all my vehicles and they have never failed me.

Great vid! Did you use a specific torque with any of the bolts? Seems like you didn't? I did mine recently based on this video and tightened all bolts by hand. But have seen people in facebook groups mention torque and I'm worried that I should have done this

Word of warning. Did this on my NC and the tensioner bolt snapped. Make sure you nip it tight before you loosen as the bolts can corrode behind the unit!

@@datboytalkinrungotellem my mechanic says it’s best to nip it tighter. As in tighten the bolt slightly and I mean slightly before starting to undo

What did you do after the bolts snapped? Did you need to drill it out?

@@JoshKnight-og5sd first tried welding a nit to it bit that failed, so went with lots of penatrive spray and a maul grip and a lot of back and forth until the crud loosened out of the threads
