It's really completely normal when certain members pump the successful member of the Family for MONEY. No this is not normal and MJ had made this known several times. His father not only lived beyond his means, he wasn't really faithful to his wife. How are you supposed to feel when some brother or even your father is constantly begging for money? I'm not a fan of MJ to realize when even your own family line is constantly begging you for money. You open the door, look forward to a visit at first and guess "maybe". . . after the third time and ask yourself: "Are they coming to visit for money again?" It's completely normal. Janet was more energetic and made it clear : "Help yes . . but don't take advantage!"

Michael is the greatest talent of the Jackson family. MJ eventually worked with Teddy Riley and created Dangerous. MJ, as a producer and songwriter, worked with Teddy and Bill Bottrell. MJ wrote and co-produced three songs by himself, without co-writers, and the other songs were co-written and co-produced by him as well. In the end it was the best decision. It's a shame for Jarmaine, but even with the best producers or songwriters, he wouldn't have achieved the same level of success as Michael or Janet Jackson. He's a good bassist and singer, but MJ and Janet were in another league. Randy Jackson, after Michael, is the most talented member of the family. He is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. It's a good thing he joined The Jacksons after Jarmaine stayed at Motown due to commitment. Together with Michael, he co-wrote the best songs.

Coming from someone who didn't get to see all this unfold (born in 1994) and didn't get into MJ until he passed (I was very sheltered)... unbiased, I can understand Jermaine, really I can. Being the bro of someone who is almost as popular as Jesus or Mohammad is not easy. And I wish Mike had more positive reinforcement (not taking plastic surgery, being told he's fine the way he is etc). I can also understand Michael. Finally being free to do what he wants after a strict unbringing and loss of childhood. So... it's tough. I really do wish Jermiane was more successful in the 90s, he's very talented. All I can say is I'm glad the Jacksons reunited one last time in 2001 before Mike passed away in 2009.

It is a misconception that Michael Jackson underwent plastic surgery. Many plastic surgeons use his case to promote their services. In reality, Michael never underwent plastic surgery. His nasal surgery is not categorized as plastic surgery since many individuals require such procedures due to a broken nose or blocked airways impeding breathing. Without access to his medical records, we cannot confirm whether Michael underwent nasal surgery for respiratory issues (as observed in childhood interviews) or due to a broken nose. Michael had lupus, his skin didn't have the ability to heal after surgery, he needed reconstructive procedures. The later chin cleft in his life is not considered plastic surgery, as it involved a minor procedure. The absence of plastic surgery is confirmed in his autopsy report. If he had a facelift, there would be scars in front of the ears; however, the scars behind his ears resulted from a surgery where a balloon was placed under his skull to increase elasticity, addressing migraines after second and third-degree burns. Michael received botox treatments and dermal fillers, as testified by his dermatologist. These treatments are common in the entertainment industry and are often required. Various professionals, including news reporters, journalists, actors, musicians, and public figures, undergo such treatments. Additionally, Michael had vitiligo, a condition commonly treated by dermatologists using a lightening cream with 1% Hydroquinone. This cream, coupled with makeup, helps manage the condition. The process involves a gradual lightening of the skin, it's not whitening the skin. The skin becomes almost translucent as pigments are lost. You can't change a darker skin type into a white skin type, that's impossible. Contrary to popular belief, Michael wasn't harsh on Jermaine; rather, Jermaine was critical of Michael. Jealousy played a role, as Jermaine sought financial support from his brother. Michael even provided him with money and child support.

@@hannaz4617 It is delusional to think it was all his diseases and accidents that caused his apperance. It is known that he hated his face. And I think nobody can say who was the "first" to start the feud but there is a pattern with Michael to treat people cold as ice and very selfish and we have to stop always accusing the others for his behaviour. This video shows once more that he was not the victim he wanted to appear as in the public eye.

@@Tropical_Rain7Michael is human at the end of the day. And Got mad like any other person. As for the surgeries, i believe a lot of it was a mixture of psychological torture from his dad, family and even fans. And then having a skin disease I believe it just all was too much for him. But really if you look at Michaels face ignoring the vitiligo the only surgeries was his chin and nose. Nothing else about his face structurally was different. The reason he looked weird was the permanent tattoos he did on his lips and eyes. Making him looking cartoonish and I wish he never would of done that. And his nose simply wouldn't heal due to his lupus. Michael went through a lot and his family TOOK endlessly. Michael gave his brothers millions out of guilt. I think by the 90s he had simply gone cold in typical Virgo fashion. But he always loved his family. They just put too much on him and further he isolated.

Exact. Michael did something wrong, michael had his shady moments.
@chicagoneurolife Жыл бұрын
I somewhat disagree with you here, I would say it depends on why he did it. After looking at how Michael created various albums after Bad, “Invincible” and his work after the trial, Michael tended to go to the top producers of an era and ask them to turn in music for him to review for his albums. So, it seems this was the way he worked. It was truly just business, if this was his motive. However, knowing how competitive Michael was, if he did it on purpose to sabotage Jermaine, then I would say, yea, Michael was wrong. It has been said that Michael sabotaged a few other artists in the 90s, including Janet, slightly. If this is true, then it’s likely he was being shady. But it’s hard to say what Michael’s intention was here. All I know is, I don’t think Michael owed Jermaine anything, business wise, here. If Jermaine wanted his album done he needed to learn how to be a businessman and compete. To add, they didn’t really “squash” things, according to Jermaine’s ex, who was around at the time, Katherine told her what happened in the room, Jermaine basically howled at Michael, and Michael sat there and took it. Eventually Michael left after the confrontation. Jermaine’s anger continued beyond that, and he began to take it out on his family. The issue here is bringing your family members private life out in the open to humiliate him even though Jermaine was just as guilty of altering himself, in what could be considered “Anti-Black” ways. It’s strange to me, why not just compete with Michael? Keep personal separate from business. That’s what Michael was used to from the Motown era. The artists competed against each other and were friends. There were things Jermaine could have done. Jermaine claimed he was just as talented as Michael, okay, then where was it? Why didn’t he just use that talent to get back at Michael in a way that challenged him to see Jermaine could hold his own? I just don’t think Jermaine was much of a businessman, and he didn’t have the creative instinct.

+isaiahleaks I'm one of those huge Michael Jackson fans & I AGREE with YOU. Michael shouldn't have done that & at the very least should have given Jermaine a heads up by phone call instead of being so cold blooded about it. Things changed in the family after Thriller & the Victory Tour. The Jackson 5/Jacksons were a mix of Professional & Personal. Literally mixing Business with Family. That ALWAYS goes wrong sooner or later. So when Mike went solo for good, it damaged the family. He moved different within the family. Some of it for his own survival but some of it because he wanted to be around everybody else. That's part of why he was adopting these outside families & hanging around with them. Most of the time this was fine but eventually this is what would be used to try to take him down. Michael was righteously ambitious & was trying to pioneer to keep Black Artists out of the resegregation the industry wanted to put them under. His embrace of the crossover was for the good of us all. So he was all about his career at this point..,even if he had to sacrifice family members to do it. This is what caused the rift between him & Jermaine with Mike hijacking Jermaine's producers L.A. Reid & Babyface. Every time Michael went outside of his family, his career grew stronger & stronger. It did for The Wiz & Off The Wall. The Jacksons' Triumph is a marvelous album but it only sold so much. He goes to Thriller & becomes the biggest of all time. Victory was actually good but always in the shadow of Thriller. By the time we get to We Are The World, it is clear to Michael that separating from his brothers professionally is good for business & career. He can't break barriers still being part of the Jackson 5/Jacksons. The problem was this started to create separation personally as well. And that's how we got to the eventual beef. The 1993 Witch Hunt with those allegations was pure evil but it had a silver lining. It forced Michael to reevaluate his relationship with his family & show who would be with him when it all came crumbling down. I don't think he took his family for granted anymore after that situation. See how united they were in the 2005 trial for proof of this. AND it forced Jermaine to reevaluate going public with the family's dirty laundry (LaToya underlined it). They should have worked this out in private because there are those in the public who have always wanted to see the Jackson Family torn apart forever. From that point on, you see Jermaine rep the Jackson 5. J5 symbol on his clothes & everything he does. I'm glad they came back together on stage in 2001. And I hoped that they would work together on one more studio project before Michael ended up dying. But in the end, in Michael's intended This Is It concerts, Michael reps the J5 on HIS stage. I felt so good to see that. The elaborate 1970s psychedelic colors with the J5 logo on top. Mike largely had stopped separating personally even if he still stayed seperate professionally.

Jermaine wasn't the only one who didn't believe in Michael's prophesized 20 million albums in lipstick on the bathroom mirror. Jackie didn't believe it either. But you didn't see Michael sabotage his album, did you? Jackie had a solo album in 1989. Michael blew EVERYBODY'S minds because a Black Person had never gone that far before. It STILL didn't make it right for Michael to swipe Jermaine's producers like that without at least a phone call to Jermaine so they could share them. Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis are Janet's producers yet Michael & Janet were able to share them on both their albums: Michael's HIStory & Blood on the Dance Floor & Janet's The Velvet Rope. The brothers fell out somewhere along the line & it ended up in this mess. Remember, Jermaine saved Michael from drowning in 1978. Signs of his eventual lupus were showing then. Michael had pleurisy which can be a symptom of lupus. That's deep family right there. This man Jermaine once saved Michael's life to MAKE an Off The Wall, Thriller, & Bad. The least Michael could do was honor his family & do things the right way. I wouldn't let some brother's doubt over my project override my brotherly bond. @@thedetail. Thanks for the response, I like your videos and get you're an MJ channel but I feel like ur a little unfair when covering the brothers success, specifically Jermaine. It's always made to seem like Jermaine was struggling his entire career and really never found much success when that's just not true. The Dynamite album went gold in 3 weeks and sold millions of copies after spawning 4 huge hits with most of them doing extremely well globally, not just in the US, and outlasted the Victory album on the charts despite coming out months before. He was also credited on Somebody's watching me along with MJ and helped introduce the world to Whitney Houston the same year which I think would be an interesting topic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

I did mention these achievements when covering this time period. But I also feel Jermaine never felt secure in his solo music career, he never sustained the mainstream popularity he desired and the comparisons to Michael and the Jacksons were persistent. The amount of times he was written about next to a picture of his brother Jackie just demonstrates how lacklustre he was treated by the mainstream press.

This is a sanitized version of a story. According to Jermaine's ex's book, Jermaine was delighted when the song was "leaked," boasting about it as if it was the best thing he had ever done and wasn't interested in Michael's hurt feelings. It was the most attention one of his songs had gotten in a long time, and he was thrilled. She also mentioned that Jermaine was angry with Michael for "stealing" L.A. Reid and Babyface from him and didn't feel remorse for the song's brutality. It was actually Clive Davis who K.O.'d the song because Michael was too big of a star for the company to be associated with anything so slanderous to him.

Jermaine's track is only the response of what Michael did and the result of Michael avoiding any direct confrontation (as usual) so that Jermaine could not sort it out privately. Michael's statments about buisiness (and the known fact that he was a ruthless buisiness man) prove that he showed no mercy when it comes to buisness and it would be a double standard in every regard to blame Jermaine in this feud.

In Jermaine's book "Michael, you are not alone" it is written that the author of this song is not him, but someone else who took advantage of the conflict situation that arose between the brothers and composed it. Jermaine sang it because he was angry at Michael, but no one should have heard the song at all, but the "good people" took care of that. Later, Michael and Jermaine discussed the situation and reconciled.
