JFRD responded to a fire at an apartment complex on their Southside of town. Crews arrived to smoke showing to a complex with limited access. This fire quickly became a 2nd alarm assignment as the seat of the fire was hidden between the stucco and the walls.
To make matters more difficult, the apartment directly over this breezeway showed severe sagging and crews were backed up with thoughts of potential collapse being a threat.
This fire was manpower intensive with apparatus access limited. Ceilings were pulled with long pike poles and copious amounts of water were applied.
There were no injuries reported from this fire...a dog was rescued by crews and given oxygen to revive him to return to the owner.
Sit back and watch this unusual fire unfold.
