JFRD responded to a commercial building structure fire. The structure turned out to be a multi use facility for repair and operating facility for school busses. Upon arrival, heavy black smoke was billowing from the structure as 3-4 school busses were on fire.
The closest hydrant was located quite a ways away from the fire and a relay pumping evolution was initiated. Multiple ladders were positioned and prepared for a defensive attack should conditions have warranted such. The "C"-"D" corner of the building showed some buckling in the metal, but safety chiefs were in good position to monitor those conditions. The building also housed large containers of oil and diesel fuel which the safety officers were also well aware of, and proactive in the cooling and protecting of them.
Two civilians who attempted to extinguish the fire with extinguishers prior to our arrival were transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. No firefighters were injured. The state fire marshal was called to investigate the cause.

When this chief retires someday, you really need to consider keeping him on board to train and teach upcoming lieutenants, captains, and chiefs. Amazing patience, and professionalism. Calm, precise communication.

@@thejfrd2490 from the radio traffic on this and other videos on this channel, it's evident that the companies are well trained. The companies seem to anticipate the Chief's orders. One example; The engineers on the pumps are quick to tell the fire fighters to exit when the water supply starts to wane.

Thank you for giving the dispatcher credit!!!!!! My husband is a 1st Responder/firefighter etc and I know as an EMT and currently cannot do anything due to some health reasons but FD/auxiliary help when I can I ALWAYS GIVE DISPATCH THEIR PROPS!!!! I had a cousin work his way all the way up from dispatch(911 & City police) to LT FD&PD (LEO/SWAT) he’s done it all BUT MY BEST FRIEND use to dispatch and now ER MEDICINE BUT I KNOW HOW IMPORTANT GOOD & great dispatch is as being tied to all myself to having great dispatchers help both my parents in some VERY VERY BAD SITUATIONS!!!!! Numerous times so again few thank them!!!!!! And do not realize it is EXTREMELY HARD ON THEM ALSO. SO AGAIN THANK YOU!!!!!!

@@thejfrd2490 EXACTLY SEE MY COMMENT ABOVE OR BELOW TO them!!!!! THANK YALL ALSO FROM ONE 1st Responder family to another!!!!! I was feeling for y’all on this one for sure and praying even though it was over about the fuel and other accelerants etc./weather/power lines etc. we’ve worked a couple that made us a tad bit nervous but our Chief is TOP NOTCH also and EXCELLENT COMMAND ALSO WHOEVER WAS OVER THIS ONE!!!!!!! THIS IS WHAT REALLY HELPS ALLOW everyone to make it safely out and home and all the crews were working excellent backing up etc through a few small challenges. YALL ROCK OR EVERYONE DID HERE!!!! And sorry weather is crazy here in Mississippi currently and my buttons keep sticking. I mean for a few caps but not so many. I’m sure y’all will forgive me lol. Just had to comment this is the 1st time y’all have popped up in my feed for suggestions to watch and I love new depts and different areas cause you can ALWAYS LEARN like my mamaw said before she died and was in her 70’s when she told me but 80’s when I lost her but best advice and kinda rare from some old timers (even though I’m creeping up there now (she’s been gone a bit) BUT SAID THE DAY YOU WUIT LEARNING IN HER BOOK WAS THE DAY YOU DIE. And my whole family both sides is huge on all forms of knowledge common and book and experience BUT TRAINING AND WATCHING GOOD & GREAT VETERANS OR JUST SKILLS & leadership & communication HELPS ALL OF US. AGAIN 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏for y’all and thanks for posting and please let this dispatcher know also 😉😉🙌🙌🔥💯❤️

Did the bus catch and start it, or was it something in the building. As a school bus driver, this is my worst worry. The condition of the bus is why we're given 2 minutes to get up to 60 kids off. You cant cut 60 belts in 2 minutes. Why Im on my kids about conduct. Good conduct = safety. This dept knows its job.

@@thejfrd2490 first alarm with tanker support. Well done My own experience on a volunteer FD was similar. engines with adjustable flow combination nozzles set on lowest flow setting to extend the usable firefighting time. Tankers shuttling water to engine. Sometimes we had issues with water supply due to distance from fireground to nearest fill point be it hydrant or natural water source. Such is the nature of rural firefighting.
