I'm pretty sure it was originally supposed to be the same move he used to reflect the kamehameha that Yamcha he used on Yamcha during the 22nd but they just couldn't be bothered animating it. Either that or they wanted to show the gap was so large between them he could literally walk through his attack which was probably the intention.

Tien has so many attacks that its genuinely impossibe to remeber them all, especially when your Toriyama who wrotre the thing weekly and took a small break before forgetting a character you drew in the previous chapter. Its such a shame he was pretty much left in the dust post og despite trying his damn best not to be forgotten. Hell at one point he was Toriyama's favourite character according to an interview from like 90 something or other. I dont think Toryoto ever cared for him and just forgot him completely in super. Just another body to throw at the wall.

Was anyone else disappointed that we didn't get to actually fight Chi-Chi? In the actual Anime/Manga, Roshi got confused because she used the Turtle School fighting style, but he didn't train her. Yamcha actually does realize who she is because of that fact. To be fair to the others, only Goku, Bulma, Yamcha, Puar and Oolong had actually met Chi-Chi. Also, Goku and Chi-Chi were 12.

I don’t know how I’d feel about that. Gameplay and story wouldn’t mix well there. Chi-Chi literally stood no chance in that match, and all it would take is a single punch. It is part 1 Naruto vs Tsunade, guess who’s who. Kakarot isn’t a fighting game. It’s a JRPG telling the story of Dragon Ball.

@MandalorianRevan I know CC2 made the Storm games. However the creative liberties are different between an action JRPG and an arena fighting game. We all know that Naruto and Sasuke didn’t fight during the Five Kage Summit arc, but CC2 made it so they did. And it is universally agreed upon that it is better for it, since it is a boss fight with cool cinematics, dialogue between characters, reflecting on the flashbacks midfight. Rule of cool can override the source material in CC2’s eyes. Now if they could make Chi-Chi cooler (which Dragon Ball fans would ignore because hur dur not acthually canon), then maybe it might’ve been the case.

The Pilaf Saga doesn't have many interesting fights, and the Red Ribbon Army saga is more of a Dynasty Warriors type of scenario.

There are plenty of fun games I grew up playing that are about og db, especially that wii game, but if they tackle them in a more modern way I would be down for it. Just not in kakarot format.

The hardest part of this DLC for me was the Tien vs Tao fight but the one from the part that you tell Tien about Chiaotzu. I died multiple times in that fight but I beat every other fight first try.

Krillin Vs Piccolo in the manga was actually fire asf Yea krillin didnt win but it showed that Krillin wasnt just a bug for Piccolo to squash. Piccolo started thinking maybe he shouldn't take humans other than Goku lightly

Fun fact: The scar we see on Tien's body in all of Z was made during the time of this DLC in Canon Mercenary Tao gave him the scar In the original Dragonball which this DLC is actually the Epilogue of that first series The Ox King's Castle was on Fire, Master Roshi puts it out with a Kamehameha wave Which results in Goku instantly learning the technique, he's also close with the Turtle Hermit

A big problem with Kakarot is that it doesn't really do either gimmick fights, unwinnable fights, or fights on the side of the villain... which means lots of battles get relegated to cut scenes.

"tournament rules" ringouts in dbz budokai/tenkaichi pissed me off all the time. some people might like it, but you can do everything right but the computer decides it wants to ring-out ya so its done. so then i'm not having fun playing cheap getting quick/easy ringouts on them, spamming the same thing for each opponent. and you had to do some tournaments to unlock stuff/characters i believe.
