I've seen those telegram messages on various KZbinr videos. I've always figured it was a scammer rather than the actual content creator.

Jack, that’s been on your account for probably a year or at least eight months. It seems to be the thing to do is scam people off of KZbin creator channels. So sad. However, I am still waiting for that boat that you promised.😂. Catamaran please.🙏🙂↔️🥹 Liz ❤

I remember having that moment in my mid twenties when I thought "My mum looks old, she is getting old!" It was scary. It makes you realize they won`t live forever. It is also the last straw in fully realizing they are just a person, not this figure of a parent you saw them as your whole life growing up.

Jack as always video was absolutely fantastic. I think you need to adopt Luke. I like him being a fixture on the boat with you guys. That boat is spectacular They have it fixed up the same way that your mom just got done fixing yours up in the galley. How cool is that? What kind of boat are you going to be sailing to Tonga ? You are such an old soul. I love it. Now that my parents are gone there’s so many things I wish I had of done differently taking care of them. Just remember. As your folks get older. And sometimes do silly things. We’re all doing the best we can with what we got. So keep smiling, be kind and always show love Which is what I’m gonna do right now. Sending you lots of love from LIZ in California.💜😎⛵️🤟🏻🇺🇸

Nothing warms a father's heart more than being reminded he's old. So what exactly is important?
@kbc18838 ай бұрын
The years 25 to 50 are ridiculously fast-moving. At 25 you hear older people say that, but you can't fully understand just how startling it is to arrive at 50 and realize how fast the next 25 years are likely to go. My parents are so active but are 80 and I still think of them being more like 50. Time gets so warpy after 40. If I had a do-over I would take even more advantage of my youthful body to do everything I wanted to try physically when I was in my 30's.
@KJABurch8 ай бұрын
I agree! I wish I would have been more confident in myself. And I wish I wouldn’t have wasted all my good years on a man who didn’t deserve my existence. Someone I spent 32 years of my life with, disposed of me like a piece of trash after surviving Breast Cancer just because my body is mutilated. It’s sickening. I had already started having physical health issues, and now fighting for disability, and this process alone is slowly killing me from the stress. It’s unbelievable what Stress at this level will do to a person. I just keep praying that good news will come sooner rather than later before I fall flat on my face and become homeless. I really wish I would have kept dancing and not stopped because he thought I looked weird dancing. I wish I would have taken better care of myself and not allow him to control me. But all I can do, is try and continue living, and hope that the good lord helps me along the way. If not, I don’t even want to know what the next 10 years looks like.

Hey Jack. Again, love your posts. I’ve sailed on the Replica of Endeavor that sailed around the world….Captain Cook’s in 1768. I was working crew from Norwalk CT to Newport RI with a stop in Block Island when I was 18(1998) Not that significant, but a good memory. I’m now 44. I was Top Gallant Crew then, actively working the sails on the Main Mast . Im a better person because of that experience. I’ve watched your family sail around the world starting in the Med, but watched back stories. Well done! I Love this! Now watching all the splinter stories you are all creating. Keep it up! Travel is the only therapy for the soul in my eyes. It opens you to people and their culture and makes you more whole in spirit. Thank you to you and your Family and happy travels with your sister and you as Captain in Tonga!!

Zatara boat? These are not custom built boats. There’s plenty of them out there. Just not many for sale. And they’re very expensive! Also is Atara is 10 feet shorter and not as wide. The other boat is significantly larger. Also significantly more expensive.

The fly bridge prevents the boat from sailing well because it puts the sails up higher which causes the mast to be taller to have enough cloth to make it go but that makes it top heavy. Your set up is much better due to the center of effort being lower but your boat is really heavy which prevents it from sailing in light air conditions. The best is to have a lightweight boat no more than ten tons.

Ugh! Some of these comments. Seriously, it was evident you meant no disrespect to your dad. You were voicing deep thoughts about realizing as you grew up, your parents grew as well. You appreciate your parents and love them and all they’ve taught you and how they love you. Sometimes with videos, it’s difficult as you voice some thoughts, there isn’t a 2-way conversation, so it’s hard for some people to understand the depth of your thoughts. I also didn’t take it as you saying your dad is so old. I think it’s you realizing the time that has passed and the aging of you and your dad and all that took place in those years. Maybe it’s because I’ve watched you from years back and your family starting this epic adventure. Yes, Keith is seasoned, but of course to be expected. It’s you understanding all that went on through the years. Keep your head up and continue and always be teachable. 👏🏻🌟🙏🏻

I found the whole reference to Keith (Dad) getting 'old' as strangely disresepctful. If all you see is the surface 'wrinkles'; ...... or thats what makes someone old then - hmmmm. The oldest and strongest cultures of history revere their older members - looking to them for insight, experience and wisdom. The fact that our culture tends to demean and mock only points to the shallow cosmetic society we have become, and as such how weak and corrupt we now are. Theres a reason empires fall - and the current one is in a feww fall - wonder why that is.

You always get a new perspective of your folks when you make new friends & you hear their perspective of them. Your folks are great people Jacko, grounded, funny & more importantly… wise. Your dad just wanted you kids to have an opportunity to grow & be wiser in a way he could only dream of. Your mum supported him in that dream. Good people & it’s lovely seeing you see him through other folks eyes. I’m 50 & I still remember BTR as my kids watched it too (your age). I was a bigger fan of Spy Kids just quietly.
