I've been to several of his "no phone" shows. Having no phones held up blocking the view is a refreshing change. People actually interact with one another before the show rather than staring at their screens. He tried asking people to put away their phones back with the Blunderbuss tour. He said that instead they would share pictures from the show on their website, so the audience could be present during the performance. Apparently, they didn't listen, so from then on he went to the yondr pouch.

This wasn't a Jack White concert event. It was the celebration for the grand reopening of the newly restored Michigan Central Train Station. I bet you many in the crowd don't know who Jack White is. But he was only one of several acts that played a few songs that night. Diana Ross and Eminem also performed.

I went to his no-phone show in London in June 2022 - best night ever. Everyone fully absorbed, connected, alive.
