I was getting sick and tired of hearing members of the gospel community picking on Jackie's voice. I know music. Jackie is not really a gospel-style singer. Her voice is made for pure JAZZ. Gospel has elements of jazz in it, and when they do those type of songs (which lean more into jazz), you can TELL Jackie's voice is POWERFUL. She is not made for jump and shout spirituals. She is supposed to sing SMOOTH. Just like when Kelly Rowland went solo, many realized that her voice is not for riffs and runs like Beyoncé. Her voice is ALSO designed to be smooth.

See the thing is Jacky isn’t a contralto or a mezzo she’s a soprano just like her sisters. She has a very light voice similar to Denise. She can hit low notes and things but it took years for her voice to get comfortable down there. Sometimes it sounds like she’s pushing her voice down there.

First of all, Jacky is the quintessential "FEMALE TENOR " and second, she has the capability of singing lead although she was not the go to lead when you put all the Clark sisters together but I do notice that Twinkie seemed like she always brought out the best in Jacky! She always seemed like she wanted to bring out the best in her sister cause Twinkie being the songwriter that she is, Musician, organist she knew how to place each of them in their right keys and if you take a listen to them singing with FAMU, Twinkie is helping Karen get on the right note when they sing the song "Jesus unhooked the chains" and there are other videos that Twinkie is helping Karen get on her note/pitch so Jacky isn't the only one who needed help sometimes. I mean no disrespect but it was something that I noticed and paid attention to. We love you Jacky.I 😍😍😍😍

Let’s not forget the smooth sound of Michael Winans. He had a beautiful sound that balanced the voices of Marvin, Carvin, and Ronald. “For We May Never Know” remains one of my favorites. Smooth vocals but powerful from start to finish. Tramaine Hawkins and Lynette Hawkins Stephens are gospel legends who rarely did riffs or runs but are unparalleled in their vocal gifts. They just flat out saaaaannng. Riffs and runs have their place, but nothing beats a singer with crazy range who can hold notes til the cows come home-We miss you, Lady Lucretia Campbell.

You know how the shout breaks out when the anointing is high? The skills of the piano player and the bass player can be crazy, but the drums take the praise to another level. Think about your favorite uptempo gospel song. Now, imagine that same song without a drummer. That be the Clark Sisters without the incomparable Lady Jacky.

I describe Evangelist Jacky Clark Chisholm's Voice and Style as the R&B/ Smooth Jazz styles of Anita Baker and sometimes the Pop style of Diana Ross with a Gospel Growl at times. With The Clark Sisters, she lead songs like "God Understands All" "Salvation Means More" "I've Got An Angel" "So Much Joy Inside Me" "Wonderful Counselor" and "No Doubt About It". She can sing! She just has a different style from her Sisters. Now at times Dorinda has been called the Jazzy Sister, but they all got some Jazz influence.

Joy Love Denise is a sad individual and it’s even sadder that people believe her nonsense without question. It is extremely disappointing that these are the “Christian values” people are expected to believe in. I admire the 4 sisters for never dragging Denise through the mud the way she has done them.
@Lovely-ff7uv5 жыл бұрын
@@deshaunx776 You are right about those Christian values. But do you really feel like Denise has been dragging them? Or is she just telling her true experience growing up with them. And they are trying to cover things up, pretending that everything is good when it's not. And at some points, to me, it seems as if they just never acknowledged her existence after she left the group. Just these past few years there have been vague shoutouts"
@deshaunx7765 жыл бұрын
Joy Love I believe they chose not to discuss her because it was a private family issue and they had an image to uphold, not only for themselves, but for the legacy of their mother. Denise has been out of the “group” for over 30 years. Nobody stopped her from doing interviews, writing a book, or making a solo album. They could have destroyed her in the media, but they chose to keep silent. It’s rare that 4 siblings would stay together that tight and just ostracize 1 sister for no reason. So yes, the way she spoke about her sisters equals DRAGGING in my book. Denise took no accountability and placed full blame on everyone else. Doesn’t that seem odd to you?
@Lovely-ff7uv5 жыл бұрын
@@deshaunx776 I know for sure the whole story about what is going on between them is not being told fully to the public. Denise did say the sisters image would be exposed if she were to talk, but she had not for a very long time, until recently. She also did say she has always had a relationship with Twinkie. But there seems to be dissention between her & the other 3. Karen has mentioned Denise & Dorinda made a recent reference that they talk to their sister and we all need to go somewhere and pray..lol. But Denise stated that was a lie. She has not spoken to them 3 in a few years. I wondered if all these small mentions of Denise in most recent years has anything to do with prepping us for the movie. A publicity stunt of some kind. Like...'let's mention her now so there will be less scrutiny when the movie & album in 2020 is released'. Lol. I just hope they all get some professional healing individually. Family secrets and issues can tear a persons spirit down. Both Jesus and a therapist can be very helpful to them all. There's a lot of evident depression, anger, pain and confusion going on here amongst other things. They were all going thru this well before their parents passing. These sisters need a good healing. I can identify.
