PinkyChiChi I watched a video with a cosmetic chemist. She was VERY clear that different colors do not EVER have the same batch codes. Therefore, there are no batch codes on the product, it’s just a random number and the fda goes hard on people who practice improper labeling. ‘False advertising’ - such as lying about stuff like labeling weight and ingredients is worse to them than even using poor quality materials. She also said ‘fuzzy’ gloves are never ever used.

The whole thing with the fibers, white gloves, whatever excuse is that regardless.... THAT is a contaminant. ANYTHING that is not suppose to be in the lipstick formulation is contamination. So, Jaclyn refusing to acknowledge that and standing behind it by saying "oh the lipsticks are fine, they are safe to use" I think is complete BS. I was skeptical of purchasing these simply because of her previous makeup launch debacles, and now I am definitely glad I did not purchase them... especially because the PR packages that were sent out were better (I use that term loosely because they still had issues) than the lipsticks that were purchased by consumers. I got a defective lipstick, and when I inquired about how Jaclyn said customers were getting a refund and a replacement I was sent half of a refund and charged for the replacement. I agree with a lot of the points you make. In my opinion it's a combo of issues that created the perfect storm. I feel that at least the components were old (if not some of the lipsticks themselves) and they weren't washed appropriately before filling, so after capping, all that debris transferred onto the lipstick, along with the airborne fibers from the cotton gloves contaminating them on the line initially. Secondly, I think that the batches were rushed and not mixed/melted/incorporated thoroughly enough causing all the weird textures/bumpiness/wax particles some experienced. Thirdly, I don't think all batches were cooled correctly and held at the proper temperature causing the "rancid oil" scent that some have experienced. And finally, the lab's entire QC department completely dropped the ball, along with JH not being fully hands on to inspect enough of the products throughout all phases of the manufacturing process. Imo, the culmination of all these issues resulted in this shit show of a release.

I loved her palette with Morphe, the same one you did. I’ll continue to use that. Almost every time she has a launch there is something wrong with it, and it’s usually handled poorly. As a lot of other posters were commenting, Kenna will be sending in a sampling of as many lipsticks as she can gather to a lab for testing. As far as I'm aware, they will be tested in a Canadian lab. What some of you may not know is that Health Canada is notoriously strict regarding ingredients and the production of self-care products, cleaning products, etc. Even The Ordinary's (a Canadian company) 30% AHA, 2% BHA Peeling Solution isn't available in the Canadian TO stores or online store. In any event, I can't wait for the results.

Cassie, in makeup production facilities they use Nitrile Gloves and spray everything down to sterilize it between batches and before making a batch. Fuzzy or white cotton gloves is only used when handling shiny "chromed" or high shine components that will show fingerprints. The white cotton glove never come near the area where the liquid is being mixed, poured and set. They also are not used for assembly. Because of the possibility of cross contamination. Any Lab worth their weight would never clean vats out with "fuzzy" towels or use fuzzy gloves. Those claims just sound like excuses to me. This is the Lab's fault for the contamination. But her fault for not being more vigilant about batch testing and storage time. Creme products have a limit as to how long they are viable. I do believe it is 3 years total. (But don't hold me to that.) That time includes the time they sit in a warehouse. The timer starts ticking as soon as that liquid is mixed, poured and cooled. Because the ingredients are considered "perishable". Just some info for you and the rest of the casserole family to chew on. Make of it what you will.

True. I think some collections are pretty nice, but I barely buy anything. I know what I love and need on a daily basis, I do not run to the stores anytime there is some sort of new makeup release. I stick to my own routine of makeup :) sometimes I try something new, because every once in a while it’s nice to try something new. But overall I buy from brands that have been in the market for a while! I support only a couple of people who I deeply respect and trust and adore. I remember once buying Fleur De Force makeup line on Feelunique and I loved everything! I bought two lippies and an eyeshadow squad. Everything was drugstore priced and great quality! So there are exceptions! We as customers have to be smarter about our choices that’s all. Only stupid sheep buy everything someone comes out with! There is nobody who’s forcing you to buy something, so just buy products that you actually need in real life. Once in a while buy something new to try out, but remember - less is (sometimes) more! 😉

I think that many of the influencers that have made a video reviewing the product are someones "go-to" for the truth. ALSO I agree that Jaclyn Hill's apology video didn't sit right. It was extremely aggressive and if I didn't know any better I would have left the video feeling that I did something wrong. Really made her supporters feel like an inconvenience. We should all know in about a week or so exactly what's in those lipsticks. There's a girl by the name of Kenna that is a chemist. She has a few videos on this issue as well as a Twitter account. She's taking two of the lipsticks that she purchased along with several other lipsticks that are similar in formula as a control, and sending them to a lab to have them tested. Now, this girl has been working in makeup Labs as a chemist for six years. So she isn't just a chemist, not to offend any chemist out there, but she works in production. After seeing Raw Beauty Kristi's video I honestly do not think they are fuzzies but rather things growing from the lipstick. You can see how on some of the longer ones they curl and have a new "sprout" on the "fiber". I'm soooooo glad you did this video but sad how in the beginning of it you had to defend yourself cause Cassie I swear you are sooooo amazing and I hope you block people who were rude to you last time cause you didn't deserve any back lash whatsoever. I'm really really happy you showed us the JC lippy cause we trust you fully. Hope your gonna get a refund cause they were all faulty. I've actually never had a lipstick go wobbly in the tube before. All of the defects of them would piss me off sooooooooo much especially since they are not affordable. I bet the shipping wasn't cheap either. Any way lovely to see you sweet gorgeous girl. Per her own tweet from September of 2017, the lipsticks are "ready to go". That says everything! I believe it to be a possible health issue, and for that reason every influencer owes it to their subscribers to let them know about the issues with them, especially when some of their followers are dealing with compromised immune systems, like myself(Rheumatoid Arthritis). Prior to this being a health issue, I don't blame you for wanting to stay out of the drama!!

It would be fascinating to compare these to other new high-end and drugstore lipsticks using the same equipment and criteria. I have seen fuzziness and bubbles in high-end lipsticks before.

@@darcylyons4313 I didn't suggest you did ask her to show her address. An address can often be recognised simply by a landmark through a window or its reflection in a window or mirror. Cassie has enough stress in her life without having to worry about if one of the loonies who give her grief on here could work out where she lives. I hope I've been more clear in what I meant, this time.
