First of all Jaclyn: I love how you are so transparant and honest about your journey! Maybe its a strange question but why don't you let some professional help you? Asking for help is a strength, not a weakness! Especially because I see you eating a lot of the same things and my experience is that avocado/eggs are good, but also full of certain fats for example. I learned so much more working with a professional regarding food, my relationship with food and what my body tells me when i'm craving for something. And also: walking outside is so much better for calming the mind than a treadmill! This is not criticism, just trying to help! Keep going 💪🏻💪🏻

I think people need to see more of this. Gaining weight, especially in a relatively short timeframe, is way more than just how you look. It’s physically feeling uncomfortable, it’s having to get rid of clothes you loved and a spent hard earned money on, and it’s your mental health. I also completely agree that when you have been overeating(meaning eating past fullness) for so long your body/mind doesn’t feel “full” until you are uncomfortably full. It truly can become almost an addicting feeling

Weight loss is one of the hardest things to do. Especially when you find so much comfort in food. Not everyone understand this or tries to emphasize. When you were crying to Jordan over the chicken, I understood your frustration. It’s so much deeper. Take it day by day and it does get easier. You may have a day where you slip up but you can’t let one bad day derail you. Just keep pushing and you will start seeing results and start feeling better!

The stomach is a muscle that expands and expands to fit in as much food as we eat. Which is why our tummies bloat after a meal. When we start cutting down on our portions, the stomach starts shrinking and then it stays at the smaller size as long as we maintain portion control. In a few days you'll start feeling "full" even with a smaller meal as your stomach will literally shrink, giving you the signal of feeling full, even though you eat lesser. Keep at it.

YES YES YES!!!! So super interesting, but there’s actually studies that have been done that show that if your mental/emotional state towards the exercise is negative then it actually cancels out any positive affects the exercise may have offered you. State of mind toward the physical action you’re doing is EVERYTHING! And that’s my thought as well… choose something other than the treadmill. The treadmill (which I also HATE) isn’t the only way to get in twenty minutes of activity. Choose something that’s actually fun!🤗

16:18 along my way to a 116-lb loss, I gained here and there, and it frustrated me because I barely eat. I was then told I was eating too little, so my body was under the impression I was starving on a deserted island. Don't fret the 2 lb gain; I know, easier said than done. I've been obsessed with it for 2 yrs and it's driving me crazy too. But, as long as we eat the right way (and I start eating more), things will fall into place. The journey and the struggle is real, and for those who've never taken that road, they just don't get it.

Something that's helped me is to think about what kind of actions would get me to my goals and then schedule them as a part of my daily routine. I can't even tell sometimes that its working, then someone will say they've noticed I'm doing something different. Feelings can really betray me a lot of the times, so I have to trust in those routine habits...and i get off track and then get back on...Keep going girlie! Jaclyn, this is the first video I’ve seen that I’ve related to fully. I freakin love food, like you, a lot of my emotions stem off of the food I eat. I’ve gained 30 pounds since 2015 and it’s super discouraging because I feel like NO ONE is this real about their body, their food habits and their frustrations with it all. Thank you for being real. Like it’s giving me a lot of hope.
@maurasilva99243 жыл бұрын
And try to predict the future, for example, you already know that if you start a diet today, tomorrow you'll crave something unhealthy, have that in mind, be aware and when the time comes do everything not to think about it and also lie to yourself, literally put a chocolate in front of you and say "no, I'm not feeling like eating this, I just don't want to, I prefer not to eat it" . Even if you are craving it badly tell yourself several times that you don't want it. Last case scenario, if you end up eating it, while doing so tell yourself "see?! It's not that good, the few seconds it lasted in my mouth are not worthy" by repeating this action whenever this happens, you will be teaching yourself and your brain how to function.
@maurasilva99243 жыл бұрын
Hey I really want to help! First of all I think that obsessing over what you eat is the first thing you shouldn't do. Just like breaking up with someone, breaking up with food should start by thinking about it as least as you can. Does that make sense?
@victoriawhitaker93643 жыл бұрын
This really inspired me. I was working with a bodybuilder earlier this year. I stopped but I know that what I was doing was great for me. This motivated me to get back to that point. One thing that may be helpful for you is that she told me I have a hormonal imbalance. She said that combined with other things means that I have legit hunger that is way more intense than other people. She had me eating quite often and smaller meals. So, all of this is to say that forgive yourself for what you do when you're starving and just try to not let your hunger get that bad next time. You're an inspiration and I'm happy for you!
